Hi everyone! I hope you had a fabulous Easter! I stole this picture from Jimmy Beans Wool.....I thought it was so cute.
My Easter was very uneventful. Antonio did spend the night Saturday night, and Paige came to pick him up in the morning so he could go home and see what the Easter Bunny brought him. I got the grands some chocolate bunnies and chocolate eggs
I also had Paige's dogs.....so all the dogs got treats in the morning and Jaz monopolized my lap!
I got some new yarn for me from Yarn Circus.....I saw a shawl done in this colorway and feel in love....so I got some for matching socks.
I knit on my Vortex a little bit and got to a color change!
And I restarted those Taraxacum mitts in the Bussi colorway to support Anja:
The only other thing I worked on was the Moondrip test swoncho I told you about.....I changed up my colors one more time and Darlene and I are using the same colors.
That is all the knitting/yarny stuff I have for the week...but I do have some random pics from things that happened this week.
Antonio fell off a bike and scraped his knee
I found goldfish in the shape of Mickey Mouse....they are awesome!
and I mowed my yard and had my first rose of the Spring. Now, I do not talk about this much....but my late husband planted this rose bush about 15-20 years ago....I have tried to kill this rose bush so many times mainly just because it is in the most awkard place (right on the fence line and by the AC unit) and sometimes over grows and gets to be too much to maintain...and I am not really a yard person.....however, it will not die....so I have stopped trying to kill it.....on Tuesday I was mowing the yard and saw the rose.....in the midst of mowing I snapped a pic and sent to Paige with no words.....I knew she would know what I was trying to tell her....and she did....it made her day!
Well, that is all I have. Have a great week everyone!
Happy Happy Happy Knitting!
This blog is about my life....and I am completely addicted to knitting, so it is the Life of a Knitphomaniac! You will hear about my knitting, kids, grandkids, and just things going on. I hope you enjoy!

Don't get Fooled!
Happy April Fools Day! Don't get fooled!
I do not really have a lot this past week.......I FINISHED GRACES SWEATER! She said she loves it. I hope to get a picture of her wearing it soon.
I worked a little on my Vortex.....this one is not a sprint...but a long distance one....the white and black will be the next color faded into the gray.
Other that than....I only worked on a new crochet blanket. One for a friend to give a friend's first grandchild.....it is more neutral colors.
I am about 1/2 way there.....it has been relaxing to Crochet on.
Now, this coming week I have a big week....tomorrow I have court for a speeding ticket....GRRRRR. Then Wednesday and Thursday I take my Mommy to Houston for her last treatment....Yahoo! When we get back I head out to Port Aransas....my sister's beach house! I am so excited. Jaime will drive Antonio and I there and then the boys and their girlfriends will come up Friday after work. We stay will Sunday and come home.....I took next Monday off so I might not blog till next Tuesday....we will see.
That is really just about all I have. I took Celeste to go see her dad on Saturday and they had a fabulous sports day together!
Antonio had his first soccer game, I was bummed to miss it, but he was goalie and he blocked a goal which was exciting.
Well....that is all I have. Have a great week everyone!

I need the luck of the Irish!
Hey everyone.....how has your week been? Did you have a great St. Patrick's Day? I spent it chilling and knitting!
This coming week is Grace's Birthday, so I am going to need the luck of the Irish to get her sweater finished by Saturday when I see the family for Sean's Grease Play.....please send me lucky fast knitting thoughts!
Here is what I have so far....I bet I am barely at the 1/2 way point.....yikes!
But I had a great week.....I had lunch with my Aunt and Uncle from CA. They gave me a ring from my Daddy's great Aunt (Auntie Anna), and a watch from my Grandmother (Grandma Lucy). They also gave me my grandma Lucy's knitting book. It is a cash book from the early 1900's with ledger pages. She has knitting patterns handwritten in it, part in English and part in Russian. It is amazing. I have to be really careful with it because some pages are coming out and there are other things in the book like recipes and even doodling from my Daddy when he was a little boy!
I had a chance to get an apple 40 mm watch instead of the 44 mm I have been wearing.....there is really not that big of a difference, but I have decided to go with the 40 mm.
Paige cut my hair and I love it!
and I have kept my hydrangeas alive so far
Oh, and I got my 3rd shipment from the crochet club came
Antonio had a friend (Trevor) over and they had a great time playing!
The only other thing I worked on was my Vortex....I am about 4 rows away from being done with the brioche.
That is all I have....short and sweet post this week. I do have a fabulous picture of Paige with Antonio that I stole from her Instagram.
Have a great week everyone!

Hats, Hats, and more Hats!
Hi everyone! Today is my 47th Birthday and I have already had so many wonderful messages wishing me a Happy Birthday....thank you everyone!
This past week I mostly worked on HATS!
You saw I finished Casey's hat and started Brinley's in my last post....well I finished Brinley's and then started, finished, undid, redid and finished a hat for Kagan!
So I took it out and added a repeat:
I will get these out in the mail to Casey today.
That is really all I did this past week....Darlene and I podcasted last Thursday, and Friday Jaime took me out to dinner....we had steak and ribs....It was yummy!
He got me some beautiful orange roses and a bottle of wine to. We had a wonderful and romantic weekend.
Darlene bought me (and her) the Biscotte yarns needed to make the Vortex cardigan in the new colors of the updated pattern. It has Brioche, colorwork and a cable...I am so excited....I cannot wait to start this!
Plus the cutest matching bag set to go with it....look at those sheep knitting.....THANK YOU DARLENE!
I also got a series 4 apple watch in rose gold....not a color I thought I would love, but I love it....it is the 44mm, which I think I would prefer the 40mm, but this 44m screen is growing on me....kind of like when the plus phones came out and we thought they were too big and I would not dream of getting anything smaller now....just takes some getting used to.
I have picked out the hat I am going to do for March:
Celeste and Cat have a brother...Alessandro Liam....so I have a new grandson. He is beautiful and I cannot wait to meet him in person
Lastly, some of my fav pics from the week....Antonio got a haircut....Paige's dogs loving on each other and Bizzle having a burger with her Great Dane.
Have a great week everyone!

This was Kagan's but I thought it was too small
I am much happier with it this way!
