Here is some yarn that is wool and cotton for either a sweater or a shawl

I got to see Celeste play a volley ball game and I got a new Ninja Creami to make protien ice cream

One Down......so many more to go!

Hey everyone....How are you? I am well....I have finished a baby blanket.....it is kinda weird how many blankets I have started.  I live in one of the warmest places and we rarely ever have a winter.  When we do, it is like 2 - 5 days long...but I have so many blankets on the needles or hooks....kinda crazy!

Anyway, here is number one for my granddaughter!

I also swatched for the No Frills Cardigan I told you about last week.

I got a great pic of my son and his daughter, Celeste....gosh she is getting so big....and I will have a newborn granddaughter soon.

Here are my parents at my nephew's engagement party I told you about a while ago.  I did not get this pic, but I think Sean's fiancĂ©, Leilani, posted it on social media so I could snag it.

Lastly, I got a new cup.....it is my new favorite. I have 2 or 3 Stanley cups and I do not know what the big deal is about them....I actually like the lid on this hydroflask way better....but I am a straw girl, I do not like to drink out of large mugs/cups without a straw.....I think this will be my new motto....who knows, I might even turn into a nice person....LOL!

Well, that is really all I have....I leave you with the greatest picture I saw on the internet this week.....sooooo cute!

Happy New Year!!!

Hello everyone....Yes I know it has been forever since I posted, and I am sorry....but I was busy with a certain cardigan....LOL!  Can you believe it is 2024?  I know!  WOW!

First....Here is my Christmas.....

Second.....for the present you have all been wanting to know....Grace's Cardigan/Sweater.

Here is what she asked for:

I knit one sleeve and it was too small, so I had to start over with the sleeves and get them attached.

Then the raglan/yoke/top part......

Finished and blocking...the collar is not what I envisioned.....she might have recvd the cardigan a touch wet (since it had not completely dried), and I offered to fix the collar (I had run out of time)

But.....she loved it!

The week after Christmas, I had Antonio a few days and made this really delicious sandwich (sorry for the non fancy paper plate...LOL)!

Which made me want to make bread....but first I needed a dutch oven

and.....nope, not the prettiest loaf, but not bad for a first try.

I got some yarn at the end of the year for a sweater for me.

and I saw someone else post their monthly shawl yarn....but a completely different pattern......I loved it, so had to share....it is called the sunshower shawl. picture copyright EggInMyHair on Ravelry

Now, while I took a tiny break from frantic knitting (for my deadline), I am back at it.....knitting for Darlene's Birthday present (her bday is January 22nd...so just 20 more days)....this is a lap blanket with the same yarn I used to make her a shawl last year.  She loved the shawl and said it would be a great lap blanket.  It is only aboout 25 inches wide (I hope that is wide enough...I was going for 28" wide, but clearly I cannot count)...but I will make it at least 30"-36" tall, so go from lap to feet.

That is really all I have....sorry for the time in between posts....Hopefully I will get my rear in gear for the new year!

I was able to give Darlene her presents....I finished the boxy cape (and did not get a pic of it finished), I can show the Test Knit Advent Stole I made her:

Plus a cute yarn ball knick knack holder

Some PJ's and some stitch markers with numbers on them for when casting on you know how many stitches you have done already.

That is really all I have....Yall have a great week!

The FIVE Blankets....and some more blanket news!

Hey everyone....how are you?  I have only worked on blankets lately......I have been a bit 'down' and trying to get some pep in my step.....

Here are the five blankets....the top of the crochet blankets was suppposed to be the neutral blanket, the colorway is called nutmeg nibbles, so I thought it would be 'brown', but it is coming out more mauve, so it looks more like a girl blanket...SMH

And speaking of blankets....Jimmy Beans Wool has given some teasers on next years blanket clubs....I was really hoping they would be ugly since I am so far behind.....but they are not.  Plus, they are really playing on my fomo with a brand new base.

I got my October Shawl Yarn.....

Paige finally announced her pregnancy with Kody on Social Media....which I was able to share on my social media pages.....

My step son came over for dinner last week (I got to meet his amazing girlfriend and I should have snapped a pic...but I totally forgot)....anyway, I made risotto for him (this is my family's verison of risotto, not the fancy stuff at restaurants) and when Paige heard, she wanted to come by to get some and traded tortilla soup with me.....I had it for lunch the next day and it was delicious

My nephew and girlfriend will forecver be the face of the Longhorns....this is the 2nd or 3rd time they have shows up on the official Texas Longhorns social media accounts....they are famous!

I got a beautiful picture of my granddaughter, Celeste, from her....I love it!  Can you beleive she will be 15 in a couple of weeks!!!

In the midst of buying a bunch of different yarn for my niece's cardigan, I ended up with a very large store credit amount to Four Purls Yarn Store in Winter Haven, Florida....It has recently become one of my favorite stores to shop at (they have an awesome online store in addition to a physical store)....they sell a TON of Emma's yarn (which I also have a slight addition to).  Well, I used some of that credit to get the Emmas Advent calendar....I bought this advent last year in the fingering weight, and this year I got it in the DK weight.....

Lastly, I have to share pics of one of my big baby.....one is of him with a huge toy (that he loves) and one is of him sleeping (he was actually snoring) in his favorite spot of the house....the window in Antonio's room

That is all I have.....I hope you all have a great week (sorry I was a couple of days late posting this week).
