Was the Luck of the Irish with you?

Hey everyone!  Happy belated St. Patrick's Day!  I hope you had the luck of the Irish with you!  I did.  Look at what my fiber fairy sent me (it matches my St Patrick's Day nails)!

I also got yarn for Lupe's Niece's (Nia's) blanket:

And barely got it started.

Last week after a my HRT and Dentist appt, the weather was so fabulous that Lupe and I went and had margaritas and appetizers on the El Chapparel Restaurant back porch.  It was wonderful!

Lupe, again got me gorgeous flowers

And Paige posted a pic of Tone with his braids done.  He is so handsome!

I finished one girl crochet blanket.

I have been working on the crochet virius shawl in pink for Erich's Girlfriend.  She comes from Scotland in April and they are going to get married!  I am so excited for them!

Lastly, I worked on Grace's sweater but I think I need to rip back the sleeve.  It is too short.  I sent her a text asking if she wants the body longer too.  I am waiting to hear back.  It is doubtful I will be done by Friday (Her birthday), but I am trying!

That is all I have.  Have a great week!

Can I please have my hour back?

Hey everyone.....Springing forward always gets me!  I love the fall when we "Fall Back", but this loss of an hour always feels like so much more than an hour.  In addition, my spring allergies are when my allergies are the worst!  I have a raw nose and no matter how many meds I take, my nose never stops running.  Okay....I will stop being a whiney baby now and get on with it.

I am moving forward with lots of finished things....I finished 2 hats.  One was a new start and one wa a year old.....so yea to me.  After finishing the unicorn wrap last week, I had a lot of yarn left over and made a hat with it.

I also finished this colorwork hat that I started on my 52nd birthday (last year)!

I am also plugging away on 2 baby girl blankets.  One for my cousin's soon to be born granddaughter and one for an "extra" to have available when a new baby is due.

I also worked on my niece's sweater.  I asked my sister to try it on for me to make sure it looked okay.  My niece is a little smaller than my sister, but I still think it will still look great on her.  I sent my niece a pic and she likes it!  yeah!

I got my nails done for St Patty's day.....I love them

I also plan on making more granny square blankets (I have really been digging crocheting lately) so I got this board to help keep themthe same shape.  Plus, I want to make the Battenberg blanket, and while that is not crochet, it is squares and I think this board will help!  I really like it!

Lupe noticed the water pump on our car was leaking so we needed to get it replaced.  His nephew does mechanic works, so we asked him to come over to work on it and his niece and some of their kids came over too.  I ordered a bunch of pizza and soda and it was so fabulous having them over....and I did not get one pic (excpet of the car being worked on) but I loved having them over.

Lupe's Niece's Niece (Nia is her name) really loved my crocheting and saw Lupe's 49ers blanket and asked for one in pink and purple....so I ordered some yarn and I cannot wait to make this for her.

Lastly, it was my dad's 88th birthday this past Friday....so we had dinner at my sister's house last night.  It was a fabulous night!  My family is so beautiful!  I am so blessed!!

That is all I have.....Have a great week!

I need the luck of the Irish!

Hey everyone.....how has your week been?  Did you have a great St. Patrick's Day?  I spent it chilling and knitting!

This coming week is Grace's Birthday, so I am going to need the luck of the Irish to get her sweater finished by Saturday when I see the family for Sean's Grease Play.....please send me lucky fast knitting thoughts!

Here is what I have so far....I bet I am barely at the 1/2 way point.....yikes!

But I had a great week.....I had lunch with my Aunt and Uncle from CA.  They gave me a ring from my Daddy's great Aunt (Auntie Anna), and a watch from my Grandmother (Grandma Lucy).  They also gave me my grandma Lucy's knitting book.  It is a cash book from the early 1900's with ledger pages.  She has knitting patterns handwritten in it, part in English and part in Russian.  It is amazing.  I have to be really careful with it because some pages are coming out and there are other things in the book like recipes and even doodling from my Daddy when he was a little boy!

I had a chance to get an apple 40 mm watch instead of the 44 mm I have been wearing.....there is really not that big of a difference, but I have decided to go with the 40 mm.

Paige cut my hair and I love it!

and I have kept my hydrangeas alive so far

Oh, and I got my 3rd shipment from the crochet club came

Antonio had a friend (Trevor) over and they had a great time playing!

The only other thing I worked on was my Vortex....I am about 4 rows away from being done with the brioche.

That is all I have....short and sweet post this week.  I do have a fabulous picture of Paige with Antonio that I stole from her Instagram.

Have a great week everyone!
