Hello October!

Good Morning!  How are you?  Welcome October!

It was a bit cooler this morning....so I am feeling a small change......and I am wearing my Weekender today....so Welcome Sweater Weather!

Speaking of sweaters.....I finished my Torbellino!

I hope to wear it later this week!  So what else did I do?

Well, I ate pizza......gluten free and it was delicious!

Kayta (I have no clue if I spell this right) came over for a visit

I had seven (yes seven) vials of blood drawn to see if it tells me if there is something wrong with me....I am still tired daily.

My rockstar sister and her husband (and other friends) rode 150 miles this past weekend for the MS 150....they have some friends with MS they ride for every year.....here they are after day 1 and 75 miles done.

 I went to the personal trainer again and this ball kicked my ass!

As far as Knitting.......my friends at the Thursday night knit group talked me into starting the Westkntis MKAL....it is called Starflake....

I may have bitten off more than I can chew with this KAL......I also have a test knit I have been working on (that is secret) and I found out this past weekend I am the most behind tester....so I need to get my crap together!

I am also working on the Wallaby for Paige

and started a Wallaby for Darlene's great niece, Elly.

Lastly, I have some adorable pictures of Alessandro.....my newest grandson.

Happy October!!!

Hello Everyone......It is October and it finally feels like it here in San Antonio.  It was about 62 degrees Fahrenheit this morning!  Paige even sent me a text of her wearing socks I knit her:

I still have a pretty nasty cough from my Bronchitis, but I am going back to the doctor today so I hope she gives me something to help.

Okay....I have some stash enhancements...First, I got my new iPhone 7....I had the iPhone6 (not the s) so I was looking forward to this release for a better camera...I am enjoying this new phone!

I also got some more DVD yarn in the Animal Dreams colorway.

Then, I got sweater yarn...for a sweater for me...I am not sure which sweater yet...but I want a sweater for me.

Then, I snagged Hedgehog yarn....I am pretty sure I will use these together in a shawl (but I might trade out the one to the far left with another variegated), but I am not sure which shawl yet.....Maybe Stephen West Mystery KAL or his Boardwalk Pattern.

A friend of mine found some hedgehog at a local store and snagged these two for me:

I also hit the 10k club with Eat.Sleep.Knit, and got a free skein of Western Sky Knits in the Beam Me Up colorway.  I think I may make a hat with this!

I got a 2nd skein from the Miss Babs Tour (I showed you my first skein last week):

This week has been crazy..Paige's car was in an accident...they have totaled the car...when she went to get all her stuff out of it, she was the first to come up on an accident where a car was on fire and she called 911 and helped people out of their vehicles.

We get to go car shopping this week....not fun!

Okay......so on to the knitting.  Well, I feel like I really have not knit much this week...I worked on my Celestarium....I am really enjoying knitting on this a lot more than I thought I would:

And I started my October socks......

That is it....that is all I knit on....wow.

I had Antonio a few nights this past week and he actually had  homework....he got to take home the backpack for adventures with Sadie....Sadie is the classroom stuffed dog.....so Antonio took some pictures with Sadie....even during golf.

Happy October!

Can you believe it is October already?  I cannot!  Here in SA we have had a touch of cooler weather here and there...but I think today it is still going to hit 90 degrees, so it does not feel like October.

I have to say that I did not do a lot of knitting this past week.  Monday I was just tired and brain dead and I knit one row on Paige's sweater......I was also able to knit a little on one of her sleeves (almost ready for the ribbing at the end)......Tuesday Paige and Antonio came over = zero knitting, Wednesday Celeste came over = zero knitting, Thursday Paige and Antonio came over again, so Paige could cut my hair = zero knitting, Friday I picked up Antonio from daycare to watch him because Paige worked late Friday night = zero knitting.  I watched Antonio again from Saturday around noon till Sunday around 4 pm.....so I was able to knit a little Saturday morning, and Sunday afternoon.  Now, I was able to knit during my lunch hours each day....just not in the evenings...So, this blog will not just be about The Life of a Knitphomaniac...but The Life of a Grandma/Oma......so you will get lots of grand children pics this week.....

I did one of the textured section's of the Tan House Brook Shawl.....

I pulled that Spire out and did about 7 rows....wow!

I also knitted about 25 rows on my Scarf Swap Scarf...but I cannot show the picture yet....I must say it does not really matter because I looked at it this morning and I have to rip back just about all I did this past weekend because I have an error in it...I think it is too much to drop stitches down and try to fix......boo hoo!

Oh, and I did about 1/2 of clue 4 of the Susanna IC Mystery Shawl.

Oh....and Bobbie of Bobbie Sox Yarns gave me this cool little beading tray....I love it!  The beads go right back in their container (but you have to have lid off of said container....ask me how I know....)  thank you Bobbie!

Now for a little Grandchildren overload....first, my son Mario asked me if I would make his soon to be born son a pom pom blanket......he said that Alexxis loves her blanket....so I gotta get some pom poms on the needles.

Then, Celeste and I played Play doh, horsey, and of course some chalk.

And Antonio.....he would not know what to do with himself if he was not such a ham.....I have the cute Antonio, the dapper and debonaire Antonio, Ninja Turtle Antonio, the driving home from daycare Antonio, the obsessed with a trigger bottle Antonio, the silly band aid Antonio, the horsey riding Antonio, and the I got a spiderman toy Antonio.......

So.....was that enough Grand Children overload for you?

Lastly I have a few enhancements.

Camp Loopy bonus yarn came....I got the summer blooms colorway.

Then, I have 2 new bags.....but Awesome Grannie did a shop update yesterday so I will have to so see which ones of those I want to snag too!

Of course I love my longhorns....even if they are not doing the best....so I asked for this bag custom from AwesoemeGrannie and I have to say that she and Mr. AwesomeGrannie think it is ....well.....not the prettiest material on the planet....but I LOVE IT!  Even if you are not a longhorn fan....who can resist these perfect colors?

I have a few more stash enhancements coming next week.....so stay tuned!
