Goodbye October!

WOW....I think I only got one post in last month and the month is gone!  Not that that is too strange this year as there are several months I only got one post in...but I will try to do better....I was just surprised how quickly October flew by!

Antonio turned 11 in October!  and Darlene finshed his wallaby for him and he had a birthday party at Dave and Busters!

I knitted a couple of hats for Trentons soon to be here baby...her name is Ava!

Then I made Shyla a slouchy hat....in black of course!

I got some yarn to make Peyton a hat.....her team colors are maroon and white....oh, and her color guard and band team is going to STATE!  They are so awesome and I am so proud of her and happy for her!

I also got new bag from Elizabeth....it is one of her Holiday bags!

So why not put the new hat in the new bag!

I got an MKAL kit from the amazing Louise Roberts to do her MKAL that started 10/7/22

Here is is so far (this is about 1/2 way through clue 3):

I started a new sweater with some of Louise's Granola Base yarn...this yarn is so wonderful!

I got my October yarn for my blanket...and finished it in October:

I saw my sister recently and a pair of socks I made her need darning....so I dug through my scraps (used yarn) to find the color I used for her heels and toes

That is all I have....have a great week

Come On Fall!!!

Hey everyone...how are you?  It is officially Fall and it does not feel like it yet....so I am officially welcoming Fall to come!

I have been working on SOCKS!  Yup...First I finished these (they were cranked on Elizabeth's machine and I added heels, toes and cuffs

Then I saw an instagram challenge to knit one pair of adult socks in a week from Sept 18th to 24th and I decided to join...however, first I did a warm up and knit these socks before the challenge started:

Then here are the offical challenge socks:

Then I had enough time to try to make another pair in the time frame and I did!

I also got some yarn.

My amazing Nephew attends college at University of Texas at Austin and he was on TV during the Alabama VS Texas game along with his girlfriends, Leilani (the first pic has them both, the second pic, only my nephew, Sean).

I made a cute sweater for Trenton and his girlfriend's baby

Anotnio had a golf lesson last week and it was so hot we had to go get ice cream afterwards!

Lastly, I still have this foster girl if anyone needs someone to complete their life....there is an article (CLICK HERE) on dogs that need homes and Blue is the 2nd one in the video.

My parents got me some flowers with a card from Blue saying Thank you for Saving me.....I cried and cried!

Have a great week everyone!

6 year old beauties

Happy May everyone.....how have you been?  I have been okay.  I really did not knit on much this past week....I did my May hat and started a new a new sweater.......WHHHHHAAAATTTT???  Yup, I am still crazy and bringing Darlene in with me.

So a lady I knit with at work found a great sweater pattern called the Top Down Knit Pullover, and the best news was that all the girls at knitting loved it.....so we found out the yarn was on sale at Michaels, so we all got some....3 of us are making solids, and 3 of us are making stripes.  The yarn for my size (huge) was only $18

Here is my Mohair May Hat:

Jaime and I had a wedding to go to on Saturday evening....Here is Jaime with the bride to be....one of his best friends was getting married to her.

I am also blessed beyond measure....Happy Birthday to two of my grand daughters who turn 6 this year.  Cataleya's birthday was last Thursday the 2nd.

and Alexxis turns 6 tomorrow!

This week I will be working on my sweaters (moondrip and cream pullover) and a hat for Darlene's Son-In-Law, Tim.  He wants an ATM hat.....so I ordered some Maroon Yarn from Eat Sleep Knit and made a chart in Excel:

Antonio had a soccer game this past Saturday.....he was the goalie and he did not let ANY balls past him, so the game ended 0-0, I am so proud of him!

Well, that is all I have.....Have a great week everyone!
