Oh Happy Monday!

Hey Everyone!  How has your week been?  I feel like mine was a little unproductive in the knitting area......the girls came over to podcast last Thursday so I think I spent more time rearranging or setting up the yarn room than actual knitting....Here is last weeks podcast if you missed it.

I had to get an oil change and while at the dealership waiting, I was knitting on my hipster shawl and noticed my needles matched my leggings....LOL!

I did finish my Joji Hipster Shawl, but I still need to block it!

I hit a great milestone in my fitness journey.....I gained 1.8 lbs, but lost 1.25% fat!  Yahoo!  One of my trainers helped me post my status and shared it.

Paige got a popped tired.....

and when the girls came over to podcast....Melissa gave me a pillow she made that matches my living room so well!  Thank you Melissa!

Pic of Jax on rug so you can see how well the pillow matches...LOL!

Precious got to wear Melissa's Cowl

Purl was her usual ham self, but she did not let us snap a pic...so here is one I sent for Audrey to use in the podcast.

The girls also helped me pick my MKAL yarn....Here it is, along with my new Bags By Awesome Grannie bag with Halloween Gnomes!

Have a great week everyone!

Trying to keep busy!

Hey everyone....how are you?  I am sorry I am late on my blog.  I have been trying to keep busy and unfortunately, I have not been busy with knitting.  I think we all go through little funks and times of being blue...but I know my lack of knitting funk has lasted way too long....I am sorry for that, but I promise I am trying to but out of it.

The ONLY thing I have worked on in the last week and a half if a hat.....my Myra hat made out of the Knitphomaniac yarn I made my Portage with.

I do have some good news....I am getting yarn delivered tomorrow for a new sweater....Darlene wants to make The Easy Bulky One for Shyla and was having some issues with the pattern....so I said I would make it with her.....with this amazing GREEN!

I also got my new replacement crochet hook

So what have I been doing?  Reading......  I am sure if you know me you are thinking, "Reading?  Why isn't she listening to books and still knitting?!?"   First let me thank my great friend, Jennifer, who when I told her that i have nothing to put on my blog because I have been reading instead of knitting said that I should go ahead and put this reading in my blog.......

So, I found a new author, her name is Maggie Cole and I am IN LOVE with her books.  I have had the privilege of since September of last year to be on her Advance Launch Team.....meaning, I get to read the books before they are made available for purchase.....they are romance....and they are hot and steamy and sexy, so if you do not like that kind of book, then these are not for you...but if you do like that.....then give her first 2 series of books a try.  The first series is the All In Series......

Her second series is the It's Complicated Series....

She is just wrapping up her Together We Stand Series.....with these hotties as eye candy...I believe these are scheduled to release in June or July of this year.....

I have also been trying to keep up with all my exercising...and I have been doing okay.  Yesterday Paige gave me a new flavor of Red Bull.  Now I do not usually drink Red Bull because I think they taste like crap....but this Watermelon one.....omg.....I did my 30 min of HIIT exercises, then took Jax for a walk around the block with Antonio, then worked on my yard for almost 2 hours.....holy cow I had a ton of energy to do all sorts of stuff.  I was a bit sore later...but I am not too bad today.

I did have Antonio for a day...and he did some homework

And he cuddled with Jax (I got up from my work computer at my desk in my room and saw this and had to snap a picture):

All my babies were looking at me the other day and I also had to snap a pic of them....

I got a picture of the baby with the blanket I made her.....this was the most recent blanket I finished for Avery.

Paige also thinks I am the best mom ever.....and I have to screen shot this kind of stuff as proof....LOL!!!

Well, that is all I have......hopefully next week I have a started sweater to show yall!

Stuck at home!

Hey everyone!  How are you?  Are you stuck at home like millions of others around the world?  Me too!  While this is crazy and not ideal...I am trying to be optimistic!

You would think being at home I would have TONS to show in you in the way of knitting and crocheting.....but I do not!  I did not even successfully complete the sock challenge....but I got close.

I am still working out....even with the gym being closed.  My trainer has changed my work outs to at home workouts.  I sent him a picture of what kind of equipment I have at home

He did the same for Paige and she has really been getting at it!  Here are a couple of her instagram posts.

Since I have been at home, I got to take a couple of cute pics of my babies.....Jax just wants to be a little dog and fit into Precious' bed....and Precious is looking at him like he is crazy....and Purl is just my lazy girl who loves to be at my side....and then one of Jax this morning on a pillow and snoring.....

The last baby I need to make a blanket for was born last week.  Avery Mai Haas was born 3/20/20 2:32 am, 18 inches, 5 lbs 3 ounces.  She was a month early, so of course I am not done with the blanket, but will make it my priority this week.

Well, I think that is all I have.....have a great week everyone!!

Daylight Savings

Hey everyone....well, we are officially saving time!  It is Daylight savings time here in Texas and I have never really 'gotten it', I just go with the flow.

My son, Mario, came over this past week to hang my tv for me....I love it hung on the wall....Thank you Mario!

Before

After:

and I paid him with Risotto and love!

I did not do much knitting but I was productive......I had my car washed

Precious got a bath and haircut.

Antonio and I worked on a few puzzles....here is one we finished

My dad had his 83rd birthday this past weekend....I went to their house with Jax (my parents were out of town)....you would think Jax was just waiting for Oma and Opa....hes so cute...I love his ear flop!

Antonio was a goofball stacking ottomans...

I did do some crocheting this week.....Darlene needs help getting one done for her great nephew, so I told her I would take it and work on it..

At one point when I was working on it, the doorbell rang (it was a puzzle delivery) and I dropped my hook for 2 min without realizing it...but that was free game for Jax

Precious just likes to cuddle in the blanket.

The only other thing I worked on was my crocheted blanket/good vibes throw.....

I'm still eating healthy but I only lost 0.66% fat this past month....I need to step it up....so salmon was on the menu

Have a great week everyone!
