Welcome October!

Hello everyone!  I hope you all have been well!  I am welcoming October since the temperatures are starting to slowy go down....yeah!

I finished my sunshine coast sweater (please excuse my very messy bathroom)!

I got some new yarn to start the new Granny Cardigan by Joji....Darlene wants to make this, so of course I said "Yes"!

I got my toes done last week with a gift card from my daddy at his country club (not the place I ususally go to, but it was nice and fancy)...and loved it so much, I went to my regular place (as I cannot afford the country club on a regular basis....LOL) and I could not exactly match the polish, but I am in love with the brighter fingernail color (I love looking at the neon orange on my fingers as I knit)!!

I got all the yarn for Grace's sweater and I have been swatching away!  I hope to start the actual sweater this week!

My nephew and his girlfriend were videoed at the Longhorn game this past weekend and shown on the Texas Longhorn X (formerly twitter) account......so much fun for them in their senior year at University of Texas!

Well, that is all I have this week.....I hope yall have a great week!

(I wish I knew where I could buy these desk lamps)!

Happy Columbus Day

It is Columbus Day and I have the day off.

I thought I would be spending it all day knitting....but I forgot that I offered to watch Antonio.....and we have been playing all day...I am pooped (and it is barely 5 pm).....but we are having fun.

Okay....on to the knitting....
First I am going to start off with an FO from some time ago....it was my scarf swap scarf and my recipient (Susie) loved it and it looked fantastic on her.  This is the Ingot pattern made with Miss Babs Yowza yarn in the Mad Hatter colorway.

I also finished my Esjan....I have not blocked it, and I will...but I have already worn it and I LOVE IT.

Those are my only FO's.....I have a few WIPS I worked on this week.....my weigh it shawl with the yarn my cousin brought me from Germany:

And my Hermione's Everyday Socks for my 'Sock a Month':

Not only are the above socks for my Sock a Month...but they are also part of my Loopy Academy projects....There is also a pillow that is part of Loopy Academy and I decided to start that pillow this weekend....I am not far, but I am enjoying it.

That is all I worked on...but I do have just a couple of stash enhancements....I got some self striping yarn from Nomadic Yarns called "rhinebeck sweater" and I love it.

Then, this past Friday kicked off "The Best Little Yarn Crawl in Texas"....it includes 14 yarn stores....I did not participate in "The Crawl" but Stacie from Must Stash Yarns was going to be at The Tinsmith's Wife in Comfort with some yarn an I wanted to see what she had....I also wanted to meet up with my great friend, Ruby, who was coming this way for the yarn crawl.  I got one skein of Stacie's yarn and some Wrapture soak for blocking my items....and, I got to see Ruby!

It was great seeing her and Stacie!

Also, Dyakcraft is releasing ORANGE Northern Lights Needles.....I was the first one to order some...I am so excited...I hope to have them by Christmas!  I took this picture of their website.

Well ladies...that is really all I have...I am surprised Antonio has let me be on this computer this long so I better run.....Paige also went to the store and I think she is going to cook me dinner...Yeah!

I have shared this picture before, but I really love it, so I am sharing again......I need to find me some ruby slippers!!!

Happy Happy Knitting!

Crazy Week......

It feels like it has been a month since I posted, yet it has only been 6 days....and I also feel in those 6 days I have hardly gotten any knitting done because I have been so busy.

After I posted last week, I got sick....Yuck!  So I was out of commission last Wednesday.....one would think I got tons of knitting done...but no....I did manage to finish the second placemat for Paige.

She does love them...and is not so patiently waiting for two more....but I have too much going on in August.....Camp Loopy project 3 started on Friday....and I barely got my Clapotis started.....I was going out of town to visit my son so barely any knitting Friday or Saturday.

I am only on the second increase section and I have 12 increase sections to do......so I better get with it!

I also started some socks for my boyfriend....I think I told you guys (a long time ago) that I made some worsted weight socks for him to wear hunting...well, he took them on a motorcycle ride in October of 2012 when it was VERY cold and they kept his feet very warm...but he made the mistake of washing and drying them.....it was Malabrigo worsted so it felted and now they fit me (yeah!)....so I told him I would make him some more out of a super wash yarn....Malabrigo Rios....he goes on a motorcycle ride early September so I have less then a month to get these done for him so I better get with it....thankfully they are plain vanilla socks!

Are you noticing my awesome bags in the background of my knitting....Yup, those are Bags by Awesome Grannie....my bff, Darlene.....she is wonderfully Awesome!  There was a lady that had posted in the Camp Forum that we needed new pink bags for our awesome pink yarn.....Well, Darlene and I both thought she was right so she made us these awesome pink sets for us to use for our Clapotis'....for Camp Loopy #3 (of course we are making the same thing for Camp...we always do!)

The Hot Air Balloon Bag is one I have admired from day one....she had a shop update last night and has some new Medium size bags and I just had to snag this one....the rainbow inside is just gorgeous...it is one of my favorite insides!

Then we all know how much I love orange.....Aren't these hearts (both inside and outside) perfect....and I love deer.....so the perfect bag set for me.......

I do have a couple of stash enhancements for the week......first, my Barking Dogs Yarn Club Shipment for August came in....it is called Red Berries....it is very pretty!

Suzan put in some extras this time with tea and stitch markers....they are great.  The pattern this month is by a designer I have never heard of before.  His ravelry name is Thatbaldguyknits....which I think is funny.....the pattern is called On the Edge of Maelstrom....the pattern is probably more complicated than what I want to try...but it is gorgeous!

Then, I got some stitch markers from Vanessa at Vintage rose....I got turtles and little bells....I love them!  I will probably use them on my Clapotis along with some turquoise ones from Darlene....Clapotis takes 18 stitch markers, so I need a bunch!

It has been a CRAZY week....I hope this week is better and I get more knitting done.....

I leave you with pics of my grand children...this is all of them.  I did not actually get to see Alexxis or Antonio this past weekend...but I did see Celeste and Cataleya......here they are in order of birth!

Celeste......

 Antonio.....

Cataleya....

Alexxis......

One more on the way.....Alexxis' brother is due in December.......

Happy Happy Happy Happy Knitting everyone!!!
