I missed my deadline!

Hi everyone....how was your week?  Mine was great......but, as you can see in the title of this post, I missed my deadline.  I did not finish Graces Sweater.....but it was the only thing I worked on this week,

I knitted and frogged....remember, I had no clue what I was doing even with Paige's sweater...so on some sections they just did not look right and I had to pull them out.

I just need to finish the sleeves and wash and block it....hopefully I can finish in a day or two and get it in the mail to Grace.  She did get to try it on and it is fitting fine so far.

Sean had his Grease Play and he did so great!!!!  I did not get many pictures as I was too busy watching him, but I stole a few off of FB and got the playbill.

Here is opening night (Thursday) with my sister and BIL....Sean in the middle.

Saturday night when I went:

I have a red heart around my nephew, Sean!

Then Grace had to go home.....boo hoo, even Nikko wanted to go with her.

I had Antonio and Jaz and Jax....a great friend of mine, Tami, had a twin trundle bed she needed a home for and I was too happy to volunteer.  She came over with her daughter's boyfriend, Mychael, and put it together....they are the greatest.  Thank you M and T!!!!!  Huge hugs and kisses!  Antonio (and Jaz) love it!

Lastly.....I found some super cute pj's!  Lazy Sheep and Geek Sheep!

Well, that is all I have.....hopefully I have more next week....as I have said before....this monogamous knitting makes for one boring blog post....LOL!

Oh, I forgot to tell you that Antonio is playing soccer and Paige is finally the amazing soccer mom she has always wanted to be!

Have a great week!

I need the luck of the Irish!

Hey everyone.....how has your week been?  Did you have a great St. Patrick's Day?  I spent it chilling and knitting!

This coming week is Grace's Birthday, so I am going to need the luck of the Irish to get her sweater finished by Saturday when I see the family for Sean's Grease Play.....please send me lucky fast knitting thoughts!

Here is what I have so far....I bet I am barely at the 1/2 way point.....yikes!

But I had a great week.....I had lunch with my Aunt and Uncle from CA.  They gave me a ring from my Daddy's great Aunt (Auntie Anna), and a watch from my Grandmother (Grandma Lucy).  They also gave me my grandma Lucy's knitting book.  It is a cash book from the early 1900's with ledger pages.  She has knitting patterns handwritten in it, part in English and part in Russian.  It is amazing.  I have to be really careful with it because some pages are coming out and there are other things in the book like recipes and even doodling from my Daddy when he was a little boy!

I had a chance to get an apple 40 mm watch instead of the 44 mm I have been wearing.....there is really not that big of a difference, but I have decided to go with the 40 mm.

Paige cut my hair and I love it!

and I have kept my hydrangeas alive so far

Oh, and I got my 3rd shipment from the crochet club came

Antonio had a friend (Trevor) over and they had a great time playing!

The only other thing I worked on was my Vortex....I am about 4 rows away from being done with the brioche.

That is all I have....short and sweet post this week.  I do have a fabulous picture of Paige with Antonio that I stole from her Instagram.

Have a great week everyone!

Spring Forward is not my friend!

Hi everyone.....did you have a great week?  weekend?  I did.....all except that Spring Forward stuff.  I love to Fall back, but never love to Spring Forward......oh well, it is what it is.

This past weekend Darlene and I went to her son's house in Houston....his name is Casey.  He cooked for us, and made us Moscow mules and cooked and pampered us to a wonderfully lazy weekend.  I will have picture overload at the end of the blog.

I got yarn for Paige's Wallaby's

I finished the blanket I was making him and he loved it!

I worked on the March hat and finished it!

Now for the amazing Knitting weekend at Casey's.....Darlene and I started our vortex's and got about 1/2 way thru the brioche.

I know that does not sound like a lot...but that is 537 or so stitches per row......and at 7 rows of brioche (twice per row) and the cast on is over 8,000 stitches....WOW!

Casey's best friend, Camille, came too....she is AMAZING and I instantly loved her.  She brought both Darlene and I some beautiful Hydrangeas:

She decorated Casey's table for dinner Saturday...we had an amazing dinner party with fancy decorations!!!  I was amazing!

She made a chicken out of a dishtowel....even Casey got a picture of it.

And the girls brought over their mom's puppy boxer, her name is Maisey.....I tried so hard to steal this cutie pie:

Casey has an amazing lake (that Brinley renamed a Conudder).....it had a crane and several ducks.  Casey wanted to look at the turtles and could not find his binoculars, so why not use a gun scope instead.

It was an amazing weekend and I will never be able to thank Darlene, Casey and Camille enough!

I also got some great sunrise shots at my desk this past week

That is all I have.....Oh, I saw this at Buc-ees and it made me think of me and Jaime (because I love bacon so much).

Have a great week!
