Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

Hey everyone.....sorry I have been MIA for over a week.....I hope you had a Merry Christmas!  2019 is right around the corner.....I for one and very ready for the new year!!!!

I have been trying to wrap u 2018.....I finished the advent stole and gifted it to Darlene....Here are clues 10, 11, 12:

I also made her a green stole out of DK weight earlier in the year along with some other things I got her here and there.....thankfully she loved it all!!

She gave me bags in all 4 sizes she makes....Tote, Large, Medium and notions.......I LOVE THEM....I LOVE the fall colors and all the sizes.

I am planning on making the weekender sweater by Andrea Mowry in a KAL with @colorfuleclectic that she is doing on Instagram and on her blog.....I am going to use some Knit Picks Comfy in the October color way....this is a cotton acrylic blend yarn that will go perfect with my new bags.  I have done a swatch and practiced the cast on.

I got to go to Antonio's Christmas party at school....we had a great time!

On Friday I woke to Purl having a big blister on her toe.....she had to have surgery...I had to pick her up Saturday.

Then I got.a little sick right before Christmas......Paige left work to bring me Theraflu and Dots

and she sent Jaz over to keep me company (just kidding, she needed a baby sitter for her)

I also had Precious and Purl taking care of me

I doctored myself well enough to be okay for Christmas Eve with my family and Christmas Day with Jaime's family, but then woke up this morning with a super sore throat.....so I am still trying to make myself better.

I was able to complete my JBW Craftvent....it is not blocked, but the knitting is done!

Christmas Eve was great with my family and I wish I would have taken more pics.....but I did get a pic of my mom wearing the cardigan I made her.

and speaking of my mom....my mom and dad had a photo shoot in October or November with my dad's siblings and I recently got this photo from the shoot....I love it!!!

My mom also showed me an envelope with a card she got from my Tante Mecki in Germany.....apparently in Germany you can take a photo and have it made into a stamp at no extra charge....the top stamp is my mom and dad with my cousin Lena, and the bottom stamp is my Tante Mecki and Uncle Dieter.....I think it is pretty cool!!

Remember how Darlene got me slippers for Christmas?  Well, so did my parents and my kids.  I got Dachshund pj's with matching slippers and some super comfy black and grey pj's with super soft socks and fur slippers.....I love them both....and that says a lot about me....I love PJ's and slippers!

Well, that is all I have this week......Come back next week so I can tell you Happy New Year again!

Happy Happy Happy Knitting!

My mom did great!!!

Hi everyone....how are you?  I am good....this past week I took my mom for her treatment in Houston and she did so good......I am so proud of her!!!  We also got to have dinner with my great friend, Rosanna, while we were there.

I mostly worked on my test cardigan while I was in Houston

I finished the test knit for the overalls....I love the way they came out.

I also blocked my advent stole and gave it to my friend Rosanna...she loved it and I am thrilled she loved it!!!

I worked on my 2018 advent stole.....clues 6, 7, 8, & 9:

Just 3 more clues to go.

I also worked on my JimmyBeansWool Craftvent, I fell a little behind, but I hope to catch up this week.

If you notice, I have JBW Smart Stix on both pieces, that is because I got the new interchangeable set...I do love them!!

I also got some new UGG slippers from Darlene...I love them!

I blocked the Vortex Cardigan and I am going to give it to my mom for Christmas....it came out really nice!

I made some delicious Banana Bread, and had a beautiful sunrise...

Next Monday is Christmas Eve which is when my family celebrates Christmas together, so I probably will not get to blog that day, but probably Christmas Day instead,....so have a great week everyone....and Merry Christmas.

Happy Happy Happy Knitting!
