It is No April Fools Joke!

Hey everyone....how you holding out?  Well it is no April Fools Joke that Trump has extended the social distancing guidelines till April 30....so we have at least 5 more weeks of this staying at home...so grab a cup of patience and understanding....we are all in this together!

My dogs will be so happy to have mommy home all day some more.  I just snapped a picture of Jax....and do not mind the mess, but this is the dogs' corner.  Jax has a toy box (filled with mostly wood) and his pillows and chew items laid about....but he was dreaming so I had to snap a pic or two.  Jax comes out the living room with me every morning....my other two lazy buts are still in the bed sleeping.

Antonio is doing his homework daily......

Now.....as for knitting and crocheting....I got quite a bit done this past week....I did not get much anything else done, but I finished the socks I was working on.

Then the blanket for my cousin's baby born March 20th

Broke a crochet hook....I have contacted Furls....hopefully they will replace it!

and then finished a sweater I started 11 months ago.....it is the cream cotton one.  I have washed and dried it.  I am pretty sure it is too big (since I have lost some weight), but I am still gonna wear it.  First picture is before washing and drying, second picture is after.

Well, that is really all I have....with this social distancing, I am hoping to finish up a few other wips as well....maybe bring down my WIP count....we will see.

One thing not gonna bring down my wip count is that I want to start a wallaby for Antonio.  He loves the wallaby that Darlene made me, so I want to make him his own.  I had 4 skeins of Ruby Red cascade 220 yarn and I got 2 more skeins...I think they all look good even though there are 3 different dye lots in this picture....I am not sure when I wills start

Well, that is all I have.....Have a great week!

Stuck at home!

Hey everyone!  How are you?  Are you stuck at home like millions of others around the world?  Me too!  While this is crazy and not ideal...I am trying to be optimistic!

You would think being at home I would have TONS to show in you in the way of knitting and crocheting.....but I do not!  I did not even successfully complete the sock challenge....but I got close.

I am still working out....even with the gym being closed.  My trainer has changed my work outs to at home workouts.  I sent him a picture of what kind of equipment I have at home

He did the same for Paige and she has really been getting at it!  Here are a couple of her instagram posts.

Since I have been at home, I got to take a couple of cute pics of my babies.....Jax just wants to be a little dog and fit into Precious' bed....and Precious is looking at him like he is crazy....and Purl is just my lazy girl who loves to be at my side....and then one of Jax this morning on a pillow and snoring.....

The last baby I need to make a blanket for was born last week.  Avery Mai Haas was born 3/20/20 2:32 am, 18 inches, 5 lbs 3 ounces.  She was a month early, so of course I am not done with the blanket, but will make it my priority this week.

Well, I think that is all I have.....have a great week everyone!!

Let's Flatten That Curve

So, I have no clue where in this world you are reading this from....but chances are you are facing some crazy times.

Schools closed, Sporting events cancels, travel restrictions, travel bans, bans on groups of 500 or more, restaurants, gyms, movies closing.

Lets all just banned together (do our part to flatten the curve).....and be kind to one another....we all want this virus to go away.  Do I think people are over reacting...yes, but I would rather ppl overreact than under react because we just need this virus gone!  I have more than enough  yarn to last me.

I got new yarn for the Hedgehog blanket that is beautiful

I finished the crochet blanket for Darlene to give to her great nephew

I have yarn to start a final baby blanket for a member of my family ( Zach's wife, Madison, is expecting end of April)

Darlene made me the most awesome Wallaby for my birthday....I love it!!!  Thank you Darlene!

Antonio went to Golf Camp all week....and now he is home from school.....

Ive still been hitting the gym and trying to be healthy.....also, baths are my new way of life to keep my muscles to keep from getting too sore....but I need the book that the Simpson's have!

Antonio made a rice crispy great with bananas and oranges....looked so good.

We also worked on a puzzle together and finished it....I have some more puzzles coming this week!

Lastly, Julie Ann Knitter on instagram is doing a sock challenge #sockknittingchallenge2020 to make an adult pair of socks in one week.....started yesterday (Sunday) and ends Saturday at midnight!

Have a great week everyone....wash your hands, stay home.....

Daylight Savings

Hey everyone....well, we are officially saving time!  It is Daylight savings time here in Texas and I have never really 'gotten it', I just go with the flow.

My son, Mario, came over this past week to hang my tv for me....I love it hung on the wall....Thank you Mario!

Before

After:

and I paid him with Risotto and love!

I did not do much knitting but I was productive......I had my car washed

Precious got a bath and haircut.

Antonio and I worked on a few puzzles....here is one we finished

My dad had his 83rd birthday this past weekend....I went to their house with Jax (my parents were out of town)....you would think Jax was just waiting for Oma and Opa....hes so cute...I love his ear flop!

Antonio was a goofball stacking ottomans...

I did do some crocheting this week.....Darlene needs help getting one done for her great nephew, so I told her I would take it and work on it..

At one point when I was working on it, the doorbell rang (it was a puzzle delivery) and I dropped my hook for 2 min without realizing it...but that was free game for Jax

Precious just likes to cuddle in the blanket.

The only other thing I worked on was my crocheted blanket/good vibes throw.....

I'm still eating healthy but I only lost 0.66% fat this past month....I need to step it up....so salmon was on the menu

Have a great week everyone!
