Some yarn yummies

Hey everyone....how are you?  I am hanging in there.....I really wanted to update my blog every Monday, but it appears I am slacking.....here we are on Thursday.  Oh well.

I finished the shawl for Darlene and sent her both her lap blanket and her shawl for her Birthday.  Happy Birthday Darlene!

I got my January Blanket yarn for the Blanket Club with Jimmy Beans Wool, and I finished knitting the 4 squares for this month (Herbarium Knit Blanket).  This is a new blanket yarn by Madeline Tosh exclusive to this blanket club.  It is called Tosh Blanket and is 100% merino.  It has an amazing "Squish"!

I also got some Emmas Yarn Hella Hank in the Wish you were Beer color, and some new yarn that Jimmy Beans Wool is going to carry.  It is their yarn citizen brand it is a Lace weight yarn with 49% alpaca, 39% Bombyx, and 12% Cashmere goat....with 247 yards per 25 grams.

That is really all I have.....I know, I need to have more.....so sorry.  I do have some word of encouragment.....I got the Competition one from my realtor (and knitting) friend, Melissa Rogge......these are great words that could benefit everyone I think.

Have a great Week!

Welcome October!

Hello everyone!  I hope you all have been well!  I am welcoming October since the temperatures are starting to slowy go down....yeah!

I finished my sunshine coast sweater (please excuse my very messy bathroom)!

I got some new yarn to start the new Granny Cardigan by Joji....Darlene wants to make this, so of course I said "Yes"!

I got my toes done last week with a gift card from my daddy at his country club (not the place I ususally go to, but it was nice and fancy)...and loved it so much, I went to my regular place (as I cannot afford the country club on a regular basis....LOL) and I could not exactly match the polish, but I am in love with the brighter fingernail color (I love looking at the neon orange on my fingers as I knit)!!

I got all the yarn for Grace's sweater and I have been swatching away!  I hope to start the actual sweater this week!

My nephew and his girlfriend were videoed at the Longhorn game this past weekend and shown on the Texas Longhorn X (formerly twitter) account......so much fun for them in their senior year at University of Texas!

Well, that is all I have this week.....I hope yall have a great week!

(I wish I knew where I could buy these desk lamps)!

Happy Autumnal Equinox

Hey Guys!  How are you?  Can you believe it is already officially Fall??

I have finally finished my test knit (sans blocking) and while I still cannot show you the picture, I am hoping that with the test knit completed, I will have more knitting to show in future posts.

I finished my baby blanket (Thank goodness, the shower is this coming weekend).

I ordered some stitch stoppers from Elizabeth at her store, Cozy Sky Co., the yellow ducks are Darlene's, but I have not seen her yet to give them to her.

Do you see a F theme.....I have had a rough month with this yarn for Grace's cardigan and I decided I need to give less f***s!

I already put 2 on my sunshine coast sweater.

I got yarn for my monthly blankets

Then, on a whim, I wanted to try the new Jimmy Beans Wool Harmony DK yarn (Yarn Citizen)...so I got 2 skeins....Sand and Cinnamon.

It is surprisingly soft...... a sweater's qty for Joji's new Granny Cardigan is on its way in Honeycomb color!

I finally found yarn that I think will work for Grace's sweater.  I was able to buy a few in an Austin yarn shop, and I am awaiting more in the mail.  It will not be the same dyelot, but I will be holding it double so I can hold an old dye lot with a new dye lot.  I even made a swatch to test 'the pattern'

That is all I have....have a great week.
