Happy Birthday Antonio!

Good morning everyone!  I hope you had a fabulous week!  I am sorry I am a day late getting my blog post up...I have been crazy with Grand kids!  This past Friday was Antonio's 4th birthday....more on that later.

Let's start with stash enhancements.  I got a new insert for my graces cases.  This way, my one case can hold 6 (yes, six) sets of interchangeable needles.....how exciting!

I got another skein of Desert Vista Dyeworks (DVD) yarn in the If They Kill Maggie colorway.  I want to do the officially unofficial sock a month thing next year, so I need a few more to make sure I have 12 skeins of this yarn.....but I have ordered it all and it should be here in a couple of different shipments soon!

Now, this next stash enhancement I do not  have in my hot little hands yet...but I LOVE IT...it is BCYarnings  (Berry Colorful Yarnings) and it is sooooo awesome.  Here is one full repeat knit up by Michelle herself!

Now, I really did not get much knitting done this past week....like I said...I have been crazy with grand kids.....but I did finish these Hermoine's Everyday Socks.

Then, do you remember the slippers I made for Antonio in July?  Well, they were too small, so I decided to redo them.....I put my needle in below the decreases:

Then, pulled out the kitchner stitch and frogged both of them:

I attached new yarn (where I thought the striping would continue well) and continued to knit.....

I knitted about an inch more and then decreased....they fit much better, but I wonder if they are still too small....Paige will have to let me know.

I also worked a little on my Halloween socks.....I really love this sock base...the yarn is from The Cozy Knitter (and yes, I have more on the way to me in some burnt orange, grey and black).

Okay.....that is all I have for the knitting,....now onto my grand children shenanigans......I got to hang out with Antonio on Thursday night.....

Then, here is his birthday dinner on Friday with his mommy!

Meanwhile, I took Celeste with me to see her daddy....here she is working on some beading.

These beads are kind of cool, there is a template you can follow or go freestyle....then, you spray these beads with water....yes, water.....and they stay in place (after they dry for about 20 min):

Bicycle

Ice Cream

Tweety Bird

Then, on Sunday it was time for Antonio's birthday party.....Paige scheduled the party at a place called "Pump It Up", and we had a blast.....
Here is Celeste after she went down the big slide.

And Paige and Celeste together
Then, Celeste and Cataleya

and of course....the birthday boy!
With his Spiderman cake!

And, that is all I have....I was exhausted by the time the weekend was over....but it was great hanging out with my grand kids!

Have a great week everyone!

Happy Happy Knitting!

Antonio is a Beach Rat!!

Hi Everyone....how was your week?  Mine was great.....but sadly, not very much knitting.  I am embarrassed to tell you all that I pretty much only knit on 2 things this week.

I finished the Weigh it Shawl that I made with the yarn my cousin brought me from Germany.....

And I knitted on my Socks on a Plane socks for Loopy Academy (but not much):

I did get my scarf from my Scarf Swap Partner and I LOVE IT!  It is SOOOOOOO soft!  And the chocolate is almost gone...and today I am having my first cup of the tea....it is delicious!!

And, because I am crazy....Stephen West has announced his newest MKAL starting Nov 6th....and I picked my yarn from stash (aren't you proud of me?):

My last bit of knitting news is that I changed my Ravelry name.....I was being harassed by another raveler that was super mean....so I changed it to:

ImAKnitphomaniac

Find me and add me as your friend!

So....onto some non-knitting stuff!  My ice maker at home broke....it just pours out water and freezes in a clump (I need to complain to somebody...and you guys are the lucky 'sombodies'!)

Antonio had picture day and Paige sent me this photo

Then, I got to see Antonio one day during the week last week and he is all ready for Halloween (he is a power ranger for those of you not familiar with the character)

Then, on Thursday, I picked up Antonio from his daycare and we headed to the beach......we got there too late to go to the beach, but the place we were staying had a pool that we went to that night.

Then Friday was Beach time....I have decided that Antonio is a genuine & official Beach Rat!

He slept well on Friday night:

Then more beach time on Saturday (he was playing with my Cousin, Niece and Nephew)!

It was SUPER windy on Saturday.....almost unbearable.....at one point, an older couple's full size pop up canopy went tumbling towards us and I thought I would be able to stop it....well, I did stop it...but not unpunished.....just as I went to grab it, a big wind of sand went into my eye, so my arm stopped it......and the result?  A big old bruise....oh well, I will live.

The wind was tiring....so tiring, that Antonio even took a nap on Saturday

Sunday it was time to come home to reality.....but not before one last picture of the whole family on the beach (from left to right, Daddy, me (yes, I look terrible, because I am really exhausted!), Antonio in front of me, Janice (my sister), Mommy, Grace (my Niece), Sean (my Nephew), Lena (my Cousin), Jim (my BIL, Janice's hubby)!

Well, that was my whole non knitting weekend!  We all had a blast, but I was beat.....probably because I am so out of shape.....but a friend of mine sent this to my LSSK group...and I figure my laziness and extra weight ensure I am never kidnapped!  LOL!  Have a great week everyone!

Happy Happy Happy Knitting!
