Knitting Retreat Lakehouse Edition!

 Hey Everyone!  Sorry I am late with posting this week, but I had an amazing time at the Lakehouse and I just did not want to get on the computer.....LOL!

While I went to the Lakehouse with my knitting girls, Lupe went to Bastrop to hang out with his bestie (more like a brother), Brent and Brent's family, so I have some pics from there too!

First, the yarny things:  I got new yarn!  No big revelation there.  I got a laceweight I have never used before.  Hedgehog Fibers Merino Lace.  I think you all know I am engaged to marry the love of my life.  We do not have a date, but we know we want to do it early next year.  So, I decided I wanted to knit a wedding shawl.  The Wedding Peacock Shawl like Darlene knit for Shyla so many years ago.  I could not decide if I wanted White or Graphite.....so I ordered both and started both.  The graphite looks a little purple in some pictures and while it has purpleish undertones, it is really more dark grey,

I have a pretty strict timeline to get this done in 3 months, so there is no way I could do both.  Well, my amazing best friend, Darlene, offered to knit one for me.  I am going to take the white one to her today!  So I will make the graphite one and she will make the Pure one.  She is so amazing!

While at the lakehouse I worked on one thing.....Antonio's blanket!

I know I got a ton done, but I just thought I would get more done.....so this means I need to get my tail end in gear to get this done in 23 days!

Paige also sent me a reel in Instagram on a Sophie Hood she wants, so I picked up the yarn

Before the Lakehouse, I got my nails and toes done....happy florescent yellow!

While I was gone, Paige took the kiddos to the Zoo.....aren't they adorable?

Here are pics of Lupe at Bastrop.  They saw two eagles and the eagles nest... I got the nest only on video which for some reason I cannot load here, but it is huge.  

When we got home, Lupe took me to get a new v5 Oura Ring.  I LOVE it.

And he and I got matching On Cloud shoes....I have been wanting to get a pair of these for a long time!!  he spoils me so much!

I'm Running on Empty

 Hey everyone!  I am sorry for my totally off schedule post.  It took me almost a full minute to figure out when was the last time I posted and how long it had been.  I was happy to see it had only been 9 days, but that is not great considering I wanted to post 5 days ago....LOL!  

My allergies were in full swing on Sunday and Monday......Lupe and I had a bunch of errands to run on monday and then we saw a movie and went bowling.

On Tuesday I have no clue how I got through the day but my mother's services were beautiful!

We had a fabulous dinner afterwards at my sister's house and I only got pictures of Amira and Lupe playing which was absolutely adorable!!

By the time today got here....I was completely running on empty and sure enough my ring told me that my body is done with me.....LOL!

I finished the Petal of Flowers Shawl but it is not blocked

Darlene and I both started an Ankers Sweater

we both ordred more of the same yarn to make a sweater called Peacock Tee

Lupe had me get this blue and I was weary when I ordered it, but once it got here I was so thankful.....it is beautiful!

Sick = lots of progress

 Hey everyone.....how are you?  I have been sick.  I knew I was sick, but when my ring first told me I had minor signs of something straining my body and then 3 hours later it was major signs for 2 days.....I knew I was as sick as I felt.  On top of A LOT of sleeping,  I got some knitting and crocheting done.

My dad did not know I was sick, but he must have sensed it because he brought me Char Sui......yum!

I also mailed off the sweater for Vera along with a knitting package for her to start knitting....it looks great on her and she has the perfect pants to match

I think last week I told you I got my valentines box.....well, I started a Scrappy Granny Tee:

I also ordered some cotton yarn that came in

I started a top down knit pullover with the lime first.....and I already divided for sleeves......because I have only been knitting or sleeping (or blowing my nose).

The only other thing I knit on was my Nuvem and I even managed to get 26 grams of yarn knit on it (lots of progress)!

Valentines came and as always, Lupe spoiled me

Not just with the above flowers but he also bought me new ear buds....now if you know me, you know I am a headphone/earphone JUNKIE!!  And he just recently bought me some apple max headphones.  So, I have....3 pairs bose over ear (all different models of quiet comfort, black, silver and cream), 2 pairs bose quiet control (there is a band that goes around neck so I do not lose the little ear buds), aftershokz with the band around back of neck, Sony Over ear, Bowers and Wilkens Px8's, apple air pods, apple max headphones and now some Shoks over ear buds...these are so awesome!  In my defense (this is a week defense I admit), I wear ear buds or headphones almost all day and like to switch em up for my ears.

On Sunday he took me to the laundry mat the wash our HUGE bed blanket......I do not think I have ever been to a laundry mat (I know, I am super sheltered).  I thought it was so much fun and Lupe thought I was crazy....LOL!

My mom called and I had to go over to her house to help her with her email.....my sister had dropped of pom pom yarn she bought years ago that she decided she is never going to use so I brought it home....  I am in love <3
