Congrats Grace and Sean!

Hey everyone!  How are you?  How was your past week?  Mine was good....not great, but good.  This coming week Jaime and I are going to the ROT Rally in Austin....I think ZZ Top is performing Saturday, so we may go to that too.   I will be taking knitting, but it will be light knitting since it will be sooooo hot outside....not sure how much knitting will actually get done :)

This past week I finished Paige's hat (I was super close to finishing last time I blogged).

I also worked on my mommy's socks

I worked a touch on my Augusta Shawl (crochet) and my "Double" Nuvem......yes, I pulled out my Nuvem because I am thinking of taking this to the ROT Rally.....Its a nice and mindless knit!

This week Grace (my niece) Graduated and Sean (my nephew) got his driver's license!  Congrats Grace and Sean!

Grace with my mommy and daddy!

Celebrate...Honor...Remember...

How are you on all on this Memorial Day?  It is hot here is South Texas, but my ac is working and I am trying to put my feet up and knit a bit here and there between chores.

I have two FO's to show you this week.....Paige's Cowl (yes, it was finished last week, but I did not have pictures of it...a huge thank you to Darlene for blocking it for me)!

And my the Harry Potter socks (my first month yarn).

I have been working on Paige's hat now.....It is hard to photograph this color....it is a dark and deep red.

I wound the yarn to start Paige's socks....but have not yet started....I am hoping to finish her hat first.

And I got my temperature blanket all caught up.....yes, it has gone over 90, so now there is RED in the blanket!

This week was a great week.....my mom had her 77th birthday and we all went out for sushi....Antonio had 2 adult size rolls.....this boy can eat!

Th next evening he had his Kenpo Belt test and moved up to the yellow/black belt!

Precious was lazy most of the weekend.....

and Paige found hers and mine favorite wine at a liquor store not too far from us....YUMMMMM!!

Well, that is all I have......Have a great week!!!!

Slow and Steady Wins the Race

Hey everyone....how are you?  My funk is not 'gone' but it is much, much better, so I am getting there slow and steady.

I have still been walking/running on the treadmill every day...I think I have done it for 13 out of the last 14 days....not bad!

My watch does not know what to do with itself.....it is going crazy with praise.

As far as knitting....I actually have some to show.....

I finished Paige's cowl....I gave it to Darlene to block, and forgot to take a picture of it before I gave it to her, so I'll have to wait till next week to get a picture of it.

My mom had a small out patient surgery last week, so I decided to get her socks started on work on them while I was at the hospital with her.

I also worked a little here and there on my Harry Potter socks.

And I pulled out a hat I started in 2014 for Paige and started working on it again....I want to get this finished this week!  The first picture is the picture of where it was when I left it alone in 2014...the 2nd picture is where I got to this week.

Lastly, I got a little caught up on my temperature blanket....not totally caught up, but I got to the 12th, so I am only about a week behind still....I am about 4 days away from being able to use my 'red' colorway for the first time.....I am hoping to catch up either during the week or this coming Memorial Day Weekend!

My niece is graduating from Antonian High School this year and she is going to SMU for College.  They had her graduation party this past Saturday....I am so proud of this girl....she has turned this die hard Longhorn into a Mustang!

Here is my sister and her beautiful family....I love them all so much!

Now for my random photos from the week:

I got my May delivery of tea from Plum Deluxe and it is delicious...English Berries & Cream Black Tea

I had Antonio this past weekend....this is us on the way to the party (Jaime was there too, but not in the picture)

And this is Precious' way of telling me she is a chair hog......get outta my chair chicka!

Beautiful sunrise at my work this morning from my desk

Have a great week everyone!

In A Haze.....

Hi everyone....How are you?  I have been better...I seem to be in a haze lately and a little down in the dumps....yuck!

To all my mom's out there....I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day....I had dinner at my mom's house last night along with my dad, Paige, Antonio, my sister Janice, her hubby Jim, and her two amazing kids Grace and Sean!  It was also Sean's 16th birthday yesterday, so Happy Birthday to my amazing Nephew!

As far as knitting.....embarrassingly, I have only worked on Paige's cowl.....I wrapped it around her last night before dinner and I think she wants it a little longer.  She wants it wrapped twice and then to lay on her breasts...not close to her neck.....I am on my last skein, so I think I am just gonna keep going till I run out of yarn....we will see how long it gets.

So I mentioned a few times that I have been in a funk so I kinda did something a little drastic....well, drastic for me....I got the treadmill out from the garage (I have not used this thing in like 10 years)!  I have used it every day since I got it out except Saturday.  Antonio loves it....LOL!

My Apple Watch is happy too....

I also thought I would try to eat a little healthier...and I have drug Darlene along with me....she ordered fish at work the other day....that is a huge deal...Darlene does not do fish, kinda like I do not do exercise!  LOL!

Cranberry Apple Salad from What a burger

Egg white omelet at work

Quinoa enchilada casserole I made

I guess we will see how long it lasts....wish me luck!  Antonio lost his 2nd tooth this past weekend and the tooth fairy gave him $2.

I also got to see Celeste this past weekend and I took care of Jaime's dog, Brandy....Jaime went to the coast with the boys!

Both dogs needing attention...LOL!

Well, that is all I have guys.....sorry it is so boring in the knitting category...maybe this week will bring me knitting mojo!

Have a great week everyone!
