When someone else reminds you what you were going to do a year ago!

 Hey everyone! I hope you had a great week!  Do you remember about a year ago when I was "Playing Catch up and Starting New Things"....and I bought some yarn to make a pullover with Jennifer and Darlene......Well fast forward and life happened and I never got it started and then I was scrolling social media and my friend Melissa posted that she has a new sweater in progress and it looked super familiar.  Melissa's social media post:

sure enough, it was the sweater I bought yarn for and mentioned in blog post I linked above and I told her.....she said that she saw Jennifers and fell in love with it so she started one one.  So I asked Jennifer to send me a pic of hers and it looks so amazing!!!  Here is Jennifer's:

....so I pulled it out and cast on yesterday (a whole year later than I wanted to.....LOL!)!!!

I want to finish Antonio's blanket by his birthday and I do not have much time....so I took this to work on during SNB meeting at Starbucks this past Wednesday and I got a bunch of squares put together...then I sat down and did a bunch of math:

38”x75”

13 sq x 25 (or 26) sq = 325 (or 338) squares

I have 77 squares done as of yesterday

To finish by Antonio’s birthday I need to do 248 more squares in 8 weeks.  That’s 31 a week and approx 4.5 per day. 

So I am going to work on a ton of squares before I go ot the lakehouse in late September and I plan on putting as many together as I can during the lakehouse weekend.....wish me luck!

I also worked on my other Virus Shawl......The one I just finished I gave to Darlene and I was over at her house this past weekend.  When I do a 3 ply, the shawl ends up a lot larger and both her and I like the fabric of it....when it is a 4 ply skein the shawl is a bit smaller and the fabric of it is denser....so this one is a 4 ply so after about 6 repeats, I went up a hook size and I am going to do a couple of repeats and see if I can tell a difference I the fabric....I might end up going up one more hook size....we will see.   I only have more 4 ply's skeins left so I ordered some more 3 plys to have in my stash to make more.

Lupe and I went out to a new to us restaurant.....First Watch and this place is almost exacly like Snooze.....our brekfast was delicious!

Lupe bought me flowers that are so gorgeous I cannot stop taking pics of them....in the window sill for light and on the mantel...they are called Orange Gladiolus....so gorgeous

Lastly, yesterday would have been my parent's 58th wedding anniversary......and out of the blue I got a text from my Uncle John.....he sent me this pic (this is him in the pic with my mother) and said "I love this photo.  It was Kimberly's baby shower in April 7 years ago.  Weston was 7 on July 17th.  The baby shower was a fun gathering.  Your mom always looked happy." and I am so happy he sent me this picture....it is a fabulous picure so I thought I would share.  Have a great week!
