No....I'm pretty sure it is not broken!

Hey everyone.....I was wrong.  Antonio was hanging out with Grandma last Friday and he fell while skateboarding/carpet boarding.  He swore his ankle/foot was broken.  I told him I was pretty sure it was not broken......and he as not happy with me, but look, its not even swollen....

So we iced it all weekend

But come Monday, he still could not put pressure on it or walk on it, so Paige took him to ER

Yup.....Its Broken and it was displaced....it had to be reset

They spent all day at the hospital and finally were sprung free after 5 pm

He is getting used to crutches, but needs a lot of help.  Needless to say, grandma feel terrible....but the hospital staff did say that Antonio's swelling was very minimal.

I did my nails with a new it I got on amazon

And I pretty much only worked on the crochet shawl all week....but I got all caught up.  Now waiting on June yarn (end of month).

Besides pics of my cutie pies...that is all I have....Have a great week!

Running on fumes!

Hi everyone.....how are you?  I have been better.  I know I am 2 weeks out from my last post and I am sorry.  Not only is my dad still in the hospital (yes we are entering week 3), but my mother is now in the hospital as well and I am just running on fumes.

Here is my daddy getting better (slowly)

I had a busted pipe in the yard last week and my iMac broke and is in the shop being fixed so I am having to post this update from my ipad which is super duper hard!

First, my plumbing problems:

Then, Darlene needed help finding her place on a Myra hat she was making Shyla....so I just finished the hat....please note, Darlene knit most of this hat, I merely finished it (but it is in black yarn...and you know what they say about that):

Oh, and Darlene and I are starting a new Myra hat today....Yeah!

Antonio was here this past weekend and he wanted (and I quote), "Waffles with whipped cream and strawberries drizzled with chocolate....boy did I deliver....twice!  LOL!

I was able to finish socks while in hospital:

My Primavera blanket only needs the border....hopefully the border will be done in a day or two and i can check this off as finished.

That is really all I have....have a great week!

This is me.....but with 3 dogs ;)

First day of First Grade!

Can you believe that today is Antonio's first day of First Grade?  Where does the time go?

Alexxis had her first day of Kindergarten!  Here she us with Little Mario:

Well, Jaime is out of the hospital and home and I could not be more thrilled and worried all at the same time....LOL!  He will have lots of therapy/rehab appointments so I will need to have my knitting with me at all times, maybe even put emergency knitting in the car :)

I have really only knit on the one thing all this last week....the boxy cape and I am almost done.  I just need to pick up stitches and do the collar, block, buttons, and done!

I just noticed that you can see where the skein changed, but I am hopeful that the collar and just wearing it all drappish and large will hide that a little because I am not frogging it...LOL!

I did crochet very little on my Virus Shawl....I hope to do more of this, but it is a thinker (and counter) for me.....I have not even hit a color change yet :(

I do have a couple of stash enhancements...I needed (yes, needed) some more stitch markers.

I had a great weekend...most of it in hospital, but I also still had Antonio so I was home too.....My dad got me some of my favorite coffee and cream.....he is amazing.

My weekend was also filled with dogs.....4 of them....look how lazy they are:

Speaking of dogs, I will probably have them all (meaning, including Jaz) next weekend too....I have had Jaz for almost 3 weekends now and one weekend I had her longer than expected.  I thought Paige was going to pick her up in the morning, but she picked her up in the evening....I usually leave my bedroom door closed, but I figured since Paige would be there early, I could leave it open....nope....Jaz got a hold of my FAVORITE yoga pants.....does anyone know how I can fix this?  Just sew?  Do I need a serger or surger or whater that zigzag sewing machine is?  It does not have to be 'pretty' I just want no hole.

While at the hospital one day, Jaime's sister got me some flowers...she is so sweet...they are lovely on my mantle at home.

Well, that is all I have this week.....I thank you all for your warm wishes and prayers while Jaime had surgery and as he continues to heal.....have a great week everyone!
