Foster Doggie Picture Overload

Hey everyone!  I have to be honest......I really have not been knitting much this past week!

However,  I have been busy with the dogs.....I am pretty much enjoying my new addition, Flower...and while these pictures are of Flower.....rest assured that ALL my dogs are getting MORE than enough attention.....so this post is going to have some Flower doggie picture overload.

I do have 3 stash enhancements.

I got my February Yarn for my Quilty Monthly Pattern

Then.....I decided to do the other colorway as well....maybe just a faded garter stitch pattern

So this is January color for the other color blanket

And then here is the February Color for the other color blanket

So here is February together

My friend in Canada, Paulette, sent me and Antonio some house slippers that she made with a Phentex Yarn and they are SOOOOOO comfy.  I have ordered some of this yarn so I can try to make some of these slippers too!  Thank you Paulette!!!

Antonio and I made some Chocolate Dipped Strawberries

and we did a lot of puzzling this passt weekend.  The Spiderman is a 500 piece puzzle (which is a little more challenging) and the Iron Man is a 300 peice puzzle (which is a little easier for us).

and I did finish one cowl this past week

And now for your Flower doggie picture overload....Have a great week!

Happy Valentine's Day

Hey everyone! How are you?  I am well.  Happy Valentine's Day to you!

I am a day late to my schedule of posting but I have good reason.  I decided to foster a dog again.  I miss Blue every day....and it was very rewarding to know I had a hand in saving her life....so I went to the shelter on Sunday and I picked a dog and got to bring her home yesterday after she was spayed.  Now....she is pretty thin.....I just wanna warn you for the 2nd picture....but she is as sweet as can be...and if there is one thing I can do....it is fatten up a dog (or myself)!  So I am sure she will be healthier in no time!  Her name is Flower!

I finished a February Dishcloth with The Kitchen Sink Shop...the pattern is called The Linzer Cookie.

I finished the pair of socks I was working on and started the 2nd one for Paige....the color in the completed pair is off....look at last weeks blog to see a truer color.

Here is Paige's 2nd sock

I pulled two cowls I started last year I want to finish and get off my needles...one is done, one will get done.

Erich's girlfriend, Devinne, came for a visit (isn't she the cutest?  Well, her and Paige!)

and I worked on the socks I started with new yarn from Christmas

That is all I have....and a bunch of dog memes/cartoons!

National Suicide Prevention Month

Hey everyone!  How have you been?  I hope all is well.  September is National Suicide Prevention Month....while I feel strongly that every month should be Suicide Prevention Month, I will happily adverise any suicide prevention at any time!  And how cool is it that now you just need to dial 9-8-8 for the suicide prevention line!

So....you all probably know I have a new foster....well, she was selected to go to a partner shelter in the north....here is her Transport application picture....isn't she cute?  I have to drop her off for transport on the 17th of September.

Now, in order to be a foster for Blue, I had to get Jackson neutered.  while I got to bring Blue home before he was neutered, Blue was spayed and Jackson was 'scheduled' for his neuter.  I have been meeting to do this for a few years, and finally got it done.

He was not happy with is cone

so he broke it and I think he was quite proud of himself

Here is a picture of him as a puppy 3 1/2 years ago at Paige's when he would sit and eat and today he did the same so I thought a side by side was called for.

Antonio started school

I got to see my baby

and Ped had a party at his house....here is the man that tries to kill me every Sunday, along with Paige, Bizz and Sam

I finished the 2 baby blankets!!!!  Both were gifted on August 27th!

I started working on my  second 1/2 and 1/2 triangles again (no my first one is not done).

I have met my goal of finishing each monthly blanket clue in the month I get the yarn....here is August...finished the 30th!

Paige ordered the wrong size of apple watch band and I got to keep it......it is so soft and I love it!

I used my Kamado Joe Jr again....and really love it!

and that is all I have.....have a great week everyone!

What a crazy Month!

Hey everyone......honestly, I am not even sure where to start....the last month has been crazy.

Let me start with some non-knitting.  I found a stray dog.  She is super sweet, but realistically, I cannot keep her.  However, I do not want her euthanized either.  So when ACS finally picked her up (10 days later), they called 3 days later to say she was already on the euthanize list....so I agreed to foster her.

Let me know if you are looking for the perfect pet to complete your family!  Her name is Blue and she is all up to date on her shots and is spayed.

This addition certainly has chaned up my plain world/routine!

I think in last post I mentioned the half and half triangles shawls...well, they have been put on hold, and I had to restart the one with the Linen Quill....I am doing an icord cast on for that one and it was too loose, so I restarted it.

I got a couple stash enhancements....

I also finished July's Blanket portion in July!

I made some socks for Kody's Birthday!

Antonio had a golf tournament he was invited to at Fair Oaks Ranch Golf and Country Club!

George Jetson was born....LOL!

I started a new blanket for Paige

Ive been working on my annual test knit....but as we all know, I can never show that till the end of December.

Paige and Kody have a baby shower to go to on August 27th, so she asked me to make a pom pom blanket for the baby.....gender unknown...I asked her to pick a color and this is what she picked.

My parents had their 54th wedding anniversary yesterday!

The MAIN think I have been working on (besides test knit) is this HUGE Nuvem baby blanket

That is about all I have....Have a fabulous week....and consider fostering or adopting a dog!  LOL!
