Merry Knitmas!!

 Hey everyone!  Merry Knitmas! Do you have all your knitting for Christmas completed?

Well, I do not.....I have been making my ornaments and I took one to Ped this past Friday.

He sent me a pic of it on his tree!

And here are some words of wisdom from Sam's kids (she usually sees Ped before me) on Ped's board

I finished the 2nd hat which is for Lupe

Then, Lupe went to get his hair cut this past week and his barber's son had his 8th birthday yesterday so he texted me and asked if I could make him a hat.....so viola!

But I am behind on my ornaments for the neighbors...I am about 1 1/4 behind.

I am also behind on my advents (except my tea one)...I need to knit the 17th and forward on my London Wrap, and I am still only through day 6 on my Grayscale Pop.

I have been making some cookies this week....I guess I had a sweet tooth but it sure would be nice if they made recipes for just 2 cookies....LOL!

Elizabeth had our knitting girls christmas party this past Sunday.....her new home is just gorgeous and it was great seeing all my knitting friends.

I got lots of amazing gifts from friends

and my fiber fairy was Melissa and she got me the most amazing hand made Longhorn mug

I also got a fabulous picture of Mia

and here are my babies taking a nap (on my bed....don't tell Lupe....LOL!)

and Lupe got a surprise gift from Coca Cola

Lastly.....I can finally show you my advent stole that I test knit......it is gorgeous and already in Darlene's hands....thankfully, she loves it and all the items I knit for her.

National Suicide Prevention Month

 Hey everyone!  How have you been?  I hope all is well.  September is National Suicide Prevention Month....while I feel strongly that every month should be Suicide Prevention Month, I will happily adverise any suicide prevention at any time!  And how cool is it that now you just need to dial 9-8-8 for the suicide prevention line!

So....you all probably know I have a new foster....well, she was selected to go to a partner shelter in the north....here is her Transport application picture....isn't she cute?  I have to drop her off for transport on the 17th of September.

Now, in order to be a foster for Blue, I had to get Jackson neutered.  while I got to bring Blue home before he was neutered, Blue was spayed and Jackson was 'scheduled' for his neuter.  I have been meeting to do this for a few years, and finally got it done.  

He was not happy with is cone

so he broke it and I think he was quite proud of himself 

Here is a picture of him as a puppy 3 1/2 years ago at Paige's when he would sit and eat and today he did the same so I thought a side by side was called for.

and Ped had a party at his house....here is the man that tries to kill me every Sunday, along with Paige, Bizz and Sam

I finished the 2 baby blankets!!!!  Both were gifted on August 27th!

I started working on my  second 1/2 and 1/2 triangles again (no my first one is not done).

I have met my goal of finishing each monthly blanket clue in the month I get the yarn....here is August...finished the 30th!

Paige ordered the wrong size of apple watch band and I got to keep it......it is so soft and I love it!

I used my Kamado Joe Jr again....and really love it!

National Dog Day and New Floors!!

 Hey everyone.....how are y'all doing?  It seems that the last time I posted it was also National Dog day......so Happy National Dog day to my babies!

I also got my dogs new beds.......that I am not sure if they realize the beds are for them......

But thankfully......they finally figured it out:

Paige had a birthday......she is 26 now.  Bizzle also has a birthday 2 days after Paige and Ped (our trainer) has a birthday the day before Paige....so here are some of my favorite virgos....from left to right is Sam, Paige, Ped, Bizzle

Kody took us all to dinner on Paige's actual birthday:

And Bizzle got Paige a new dog (Chief died in July....and I think Paige was really struggling), his name is Texas and he is 9 months old.

This past weekend Paige went out of town so I babysat all the dogs......however, Jackson was not a fan of Texas and they got into it on Saturday morning, so Paige's friend, Sam, took Texas.....and he had fun over there.....here he is at my house:

and I am of course working on the test knit

Then, I decided that now is the time to redo ALL the floors in my house......I bought 70 cases of flooring and had to make 3 trips and unload them all myself (they are like 30 lb a case).

and yesterday started the demo.....I have moved everything from 1/2 of my house to the other 1/2 of my house....and the dogs and I are living all day in my tiny bedroom (with a ton of crap in it) and there are people tearing up the tile and grinding and all sorts of stuff.....then, they will install floors (probably not till Friday) and then I will have the weekend to move all my crap to the finished side of the house, and they come back and tear up the rest of the house.....all I can say is....what was I thinking?
