Another WIP bites the dust

Hey everyone....how are you?  I hope you are all well.  I have still been feeling crappy lately and I just cannot put my thumb on it....but oh well.

I do not have a lot of knitting this week.  Not only am I blogging only 5 days after my last post, but I just have not done much.

I did however finish another old WIP....my Cinnabar shawl is DONE!!  This WIP was started in 2020:

Antonio got a shorter cast...and we went for Kuma  ice cream.

I found a really cool carnitas food truck by my house...this could be dangerous as I LOVE carnitas!!!

The work on my house is coming along......while the green is not the final product, you can see how desperately my siding needed replacement (as it is bowing out).

That is really all I have......I am leaving to the lakehouse this week, so my next post might be a little late, and it should be (if I remember to take pics) be loaded with pictures of all our fun!

Have a great week.....and enjoy yet another pic of my pups :)

Slow Week

Hey everyone....how have you been?  My week has been slow going.

I was not feeling well last week and I ended up having a fever for 4 days....no other symptoms, just a fever that made me feel like crap.  Needless to say, I have not done much.  Today is kinda the first day I feel human again.

I got new yarn for the monthly shawl

I won a KAL I entered with my last pair of socks.

and I got Jackson a new baby to covet....

I pulled out another old wips in hopes to finish it.  I have gone from 52% completed to 78% completed.....so maybe one more week....we will see.

That is all I have.....Have a great week

Another Dog?

Hey everyone...how are you?  I'm okay but I swear there is a secret highway for dogs that points to my house and a sign says "she is a sucker and can't not take you in!"  ARG....look what showed up

The angle is weird, but she is a very thin husky/blue heeler mix.  Her eyes are gorgeous just like a husky.

Then, we podcasted and there was a prize for the winner....and this happened.

I even had it high up...I have no clue how she got it....but I am going to replace it with this (we gave the winner options).

Thankfully today, I was able to get a hold of someone at ACS and drop her off.  I pray I did the right thing for her.

I did some juicing this week

From this:

To this:

And it is yummy too.

It is almost time for the annual advent stole test knit so I ordered this yarn

The only thing I worked on all week is this shawl....and it is done.....just needs blocking!

Feels good to get an old wip done....I am going to pull out another old wip to work on...hopefully more mindless.

I have some work being done on my house...here is part of the new fence

That is all I have.....have a great week everyone.

It might not look like a lot.....

Hey everyone, how have you been?  I have been doing okay.....well, besides the heat.....it is SUPER HOT in Texas right now!

I know I am behind on posting, but I have really only been working on one thing (that is really two things).....my monthly blankets.  I did not want them to get too far behind, so I put the needles to work.

Here are my June colors:

Here is one.....I am done with June in June!!!!

Here is the other and I have started June (in June) but am not done....it doesn't look like much, but here it is.

I needed a change of pace so I pulled out a old wip (lord knows I have so many to choose from).....the wings of an angel.  I am pretty far along on this and want to finish it....so I pulled it out.  I finished the first wing and have started the second.  I am hoping to finish before the end of the month.  This yarn is heavenly!

I decided to grill a delicious steak on my egg

and I am trying to also eat better.....so this was deer meat mixed with rice along with roasted broccoli and sweet potatoes...not as good as apple pie, but better for me.

That is all I've got.....stay cool out there everyone.

No....I'm pretty sure it is not broken!

Hey everyone.....I was wrong.  Antonio was hanging out with Grandma last Friday and he fell while skateboarding/carpet boarding.  He swore his ankle/foot was broken.  I told him I was pretty sure it was not broken......and he as not happy with me, but look, its not even swollen....

So we iced it all weekend

But come Monday, he still could not put pressure on it or walk on it, so Paige took him to ER

Yup.....Its Broken and it was displaced....it had to be reset

They spent all day at the hospital and finally were sprung free after 5 pm

He is getting used to crutches, but needs a lot of help.  Needless to say, grandma feel terrible....but the hospital staff did say that Antonio's swelling was very minimal.

I did my nails with a new it I got on amazon

And I pretty much only worked on the crochet shawl all week....but I got all caught up.  Now waiting on June yarn (end of month).

Besides pics of my cutie pies...that is all I have....Have a great week!

It's already June??

Hey everyone....can you believe it is already June?

I feel like I am kinda slacking in my knitting and crocheting lately....because as I post these blog posts, I fell like I don't have much......but here we go.

I got some new yarn....last week I got 4 skeins of DK weight yarn with nylon in it, and this week I got another.  My friend, Elizabeth, has been pointing out all the DK weight yarn with nylon (so all this purchasing his her fault)...and this one was no different.

Last week I posted my Monthly Shawl Yarn and it made me realize I had not been posting those....so here is the line up so far.

I have really struggled adding the new color to this shawl as the crochet pattern is not anything like I have done before (two rs rows, two ws rows....almost like brioche in knitting).....so I finally made myself sit down and figure it out......it took me HOURS....I am not exhaggerating....HOURS with trying to go back and then forward and then back and messaging a lady on FB with the Jimmy Beans Club Group.....and I think I have finally fudged it enough to where it looks decent.

I worked on the monthly blankets and I am almost finished with March...but the important part is that I have started April on both blankets....yahoo!!

Antonio Graduated from 5th to 6th Grade.....and I got him (and me) each a Crumble cookie.  Mine has the bite taken out...LOL!

That is all I have.....have a great week yall!!
