Another WIP bites the dust

Hey everyone....how are you?  I hope you are all well.  I have still been feeling crappy lately and I just cannot put my thumb on it....but oh well.

I do not have a lot of knitting this week.  Not only am I blogging only 5 days after my last post, but I just have not done much.

I did however finish another old WIP....my Cinnabar shawl is DONE!!  This WIP was started in 2020:

Antonio got a shorter cast...and we went for Kuma  ice cream.

I found a really cool carnitas food truck by my house...this could be dangerous as I LOVE carnitas!!!

The work on my house is coming along......while the green is not the final product, you can see how desperately my siding needed replacement (as it is bowing out).

That is really all I have......I am leaving to the lakehouse this week, so my next post might be a little late, and it should be (if I remember to take pics) be loaded with pictures of all our fun!

Have a great week.....and enjoy yet another pic of my pups :)

It's October!

Can you believe it is already October...the last qtr of the year!

My cousin and his husband (both from Germany) were in the USA for 4 weeks doing a USA tour and they ended in Texas....I had never met my cousin (or his husband) in person and it was a delight to hang out with them for about a week.

This is Marius (my cousin) on the jetskii

Sven and Marius at LaFogata

The whole family...from Left to Right....Jim, Sven, Me, Janice, Dad, Mom, Paige, Antonio, Kody and Marius!

My foster Dog was ADOPTED! I  am so happy for her, but I miss her so much!  I knew I would miss her...but I didi not realize I would miss her sooooooo much!  They renamed her Luna (from Blue, but sometimes call her Luna Blue).

Luna going to meet her soon to be parents

Last day of Luna in my bed the morning of her adoption

Speaking of Luna....there is one skein of yarn she go into for the 2nd time....but this time she really did a number on it and I have not tried to untangle it....it is attached to one of my half and half triangle shawls

Here is is after Luna got into it once but I rewound it and put it by my pumpkin spice latte

Here is after Luna got to it the 2nd time...she really was loving up on that yarn!

I started a Cowl that Darlene wants to make

I also made a hat with yarn that Melissa gifted me last year for Christmas

There is a mystery KAL starting this coming Friday with Biscotte Yarns....and these are my colors...I hope they get here before Friday.

I finished my September Blanket (In September with one day to spare) and my October yarn is shipping today

Lastly....I started some socks with yarn I got in 2018.  I know I should be pullingout my circular sock machine, but I am really enjoying the hand knit process right now....so I am just gonna go with it.

Have a great week everyone.....

Happy Mother's Day!

HI everyone....I am just about to get ready to go to my sister's lake house to kick off a Mother's Day weekend.  We will be eating my mother's cannelloni tonight, then massages (me, my mom, sister and niece...Paige could not make it) for all the girls Saturday morning.....Antonio has golf on Sunday and I have a workout with Paige Sunday morning with our usual Sunday morning trainer, Ped.

I hope y'all have a wonderful Mother's Day!

What have I been working on?  Pretty much only 2 things.  I started a wallaby for Antonio....in red.   I have been meaning to start this wallaby for like 2 years....but I finally started it.

I got yarn to make Shyla a Mae sweater

I won a pair of needles from Knitters Pride....

and while this was exciting, my bubble was quickly burst when I realized they (the companies that do give a ways) like to look good by saying I get to pick whatever I want....but I really don't.  I have to pick from the select few things they have....this is so frustrating!  But I guess it is better than nothing (even though sometimes I think not winning at all would be better than bursting my bubble)....

Antonio has been doing great at his tournaments...and he has another one this coming Sunday!

My friend and co-podcaster, Elizabeth, made a gorgeous dotted rays shawl.....and now Darlene and I want to make one.  Can you guess which colors are for me and which are for darlene?

These two girls both had their 8th birthday this past week.....Happy Birthday Cataleya and Alexxis!

I started some socks in this amazing green color for my new guy, Lupe.......

And Kody decided he wanted socks and picked the same color!  So, this might have come in the mail:

Paige found a healthy snack for us to try and I really like them....

I lost my dog of almost 13 years, Precious, recently....so I am back to a 2 dog house.

Lastly, I am on the collar for the Ledberg Cardigan......about 1/2 way done with collar.

Have a great week......Here are some amazing mugs I wanted to buy, but realize I have way too many mugs already!

And this one is the best.....because, my family calls me Care Bear!

Stuck at home!

Hey everyone!  How are you?  Are you stuck at home like millions of others around the world?  Me too!  While this is crazy and not ideal...I am trying to be optimistic!

You would think being at home I would have TONS to show in you in the way of knitting and crocheting.....but I do not!  I did not even successfully complete the sock challenge....but I got close.

I am still working out....even with the gym being closed.  My trainer has changed my work outs to at home workouts.  I sent him a picture of what kind of equipment I have at home

He did the same for Paige and she has really been getting at it!  Here are a couple of her instagram posts.

Since I have been at home, I got to take a couple of cute pics of my babies.....Jax just wants to be a little dog and fit into Precious' bed....and Precious is looking at him like he is crazy....and Purl is just my lazy girl who loves to be at my side....and then one of Jax this morning on a pillow and snoring.....

The last baby I need to make a blanket for was born last week.  Avery Mai Haas was born 3/20/20 2:32 am, 18 inches, 5 lbs 3 ounces.  She was a month early, so of course I am not done with the blanket, but will make it my priority this week.

Well, I think that is all I have.....have a great week everyone!!
