Am I a Cheater???

Hello everyone......Is opening an advent calendar early considered cheating? Well, I think I might be a cheater.....but hear my out....LOL!

I have myself a bit over booked (knititng wise) for December and the Grayscale Pop Wrap pattern was realeased on the 19th......so yes, I opened the first 3 days and already started the wrap!

Here is the wrap in black and white (each person had their own choice of Pop color, I chose Pale Pink)

Day 1

Day 2

Day 3

Each day is over 3,000 stitches so I know I am not going to be able to 'keep up' with this one, but I will do my best.

I also finished the body and started the sleeve of Vera's sweater....there is pooling, but I do not think it looks bad.  I actually think she will like it....fingers crossed.

I got the yarn in that I ordered for the Wrapped up in Cables pattern and got started.  I am loving it so far.

I got the mohair yarn I ordered for the Chelsea Advent calendar....it is peony pink...I have not opened any of these yet...but I am not gonna lie, if the pattern was out, I might have opened a day or two, but it is not.

Lupe had some gorgeous flowers delivered while he was at work...that man spoils me.

He also got me this shirt....it is soooo me!

I made bread again and made the most amazing sandwiches

Lupe took me to Rolando's Super Tacos Saturday morning....this place has the BEST tacos in town

then on Sunday we tried a new to both of us Mediterranean restaurant....it was delicious

Here are pics of me and Erich, Beautiful Flower and Sleeping Jackson

and Celeste turned 17!  I got this pic from her mom's fb......this is the one that made me a grandma!

Have a great week everyone!

Advent Time!

Hey everyone!  How are you?  I am well!  Its almost advent time.....I got two yarn advents last week.

First Chelsea Yarns...today I have some mohair being delivered as I am pretty sure I will need it for the "suggested" pattern.

I also got Suburban Stitcher

I got some skeins of yarn last week that I ordered to make hats

I got to see Jonah for the first time!

and Lupe made me the most delicious Chicken, Broccoli and cheese caserole ever!

We went to costco to get the hand pulled rotisserie chicken and let me tell you, that stuff is the bomb!  and super tasty for chicken breast!

Now, do you like bell peppers?  I LOVE bell peppers but I do not like preparing them....then the little mini ones came out and I like them even more as they are not as thick as a full size pepper, but what a pain to get the seeds out......well, they have SEEDLESS mini bell peppers at Costco and these things are the bomb!!  Like you have to try them if you like bell peppers.  I just put 5-10 on a plate and eat them straight (sans the green top part)......so yummy!

I bet you are wondering if I have knit anything....well, I have.

I worked on my test knit....pattern 6 done.  This was the largest pattern and used the most grams so far.  I also worked on Vera's Sweater...I am almost to the ribbing and then I just need the sleeves.

I also worked on both of my One Love MKAL's....it doesn't look like it, but the rows are long and it is not growing as fast as when the rows were shorter.

I also realized I have not started a single christmas ornament and I need 6....so I started one.

Lastly, Lupe got me the most amazing essential oil diffuser....it looks like a fireplace with orange or blue flames coming out....I absolutely love it!  I bought some new oils and right now I have Lemongrass in it...I love this scent.

Have a great week!

Happy Veteran's Day!

Hello everyone!  I hope you had a fabulous weekend!  I have been doing as much knitting as possible and I think my mojo is finally back.  Later today, I should have my 2 yarn advents delivered.  Chelsea yarns and Suburban Stitcher.  I was only going to do Chelsea yarns, but when I saw that Suburban Stitcher had greyscale pop, I thought I would have FOMO, so I ordered it too.

Tomorrow is Veteran's Day!  So to all who served, Happy Veteran's Day!

I also had a couple of yarny mail days.  I got this pink and black kit from Biscotte Yarns.....I just love it!

and I found these Barnyard Knits skiens on Facebook in a destash.....they are perfect!

As far as knitting goes, I did one clue on the test knit....I am waiting on next clue.  However, I got some other knitting in too.......I finished this hat:

Joji's One Love clue 2 came out so I finished clue 2 on both the shawls I am making.

I washed all dog beds this past week....I can never quite get the pillow to go back in evenly, but the dogs do not seem to mind....LOL!

Lupe and I went to Fredricksburg this past weekend and we did not get a single pic....but look at the amazing socks Lupe got me.....he knows me so well!!!

And this cutie had a Gymnastics event this past week.....isn't she adorable!

This past weekend, Lupe and I went on a hike at Pedernales Park.  We wanted to go back to Los Maples, but they were booked, so we have a reservation to go there on the 22nd.  So here is my photo dump from this past weekend.  I hope yall have a fabulous week!
