Happy Birthday Darlene!

Hey everyone!  How are you?  Today is Darlene's birthday and I am going to be late with her present...more on her present later....but here is why I will be late

 Yup, another busted (well, leaking) pipe....this is the 3rd time this pipe has leaked in the last 4 years.  It seems the cold weather causes pressure on the pipe or the tree roots....I am honestly not sure which is the bigger culprit.

We got snow....and while it was below freezing, I had a humming bird come to my feeder.  I was SHOCKED!

Since my last post, I have pretty much done nothing but work on Darlene's birthday present.  So much that my hands were hurting from all the knitting, so I took a short break to crochet 2 dishcloths that look like they have a knit stitch row in them.

Crumbl had their tres leches back this week, but not just regular tres leches, but COOKIE BUTTER tres leches....so this happened

I got that new yarn I ordered from Hobbii.  This will (one day) be a blanket/throw in my living room.

My aunt Natasha was in town from Washington State, so we had a great dinner at my sister's house

Okay.....now for Darlene's present.  The knitting is done, but with lack of water (from leaking pipe), I could not block it.....but now it is blocking and I will give it to her tomorrow!!

Running on fumes!

 Hi everyone.....how are you?  I have been better.  I know I am 2 weeks out from my last post and I am sorry.  Not only is my dad still in the hospital (yes we are entering week 3), but my mother is now in the hospital as well and I am just running on fumes.

Here is my daddy getting better (slowly)

I had a busted pipe in the yard last week and my iMac broke and is in the shop being fixed so I am having to post this update from my ipad which is super duper hard!

First, my plumbing problems:

Then, Darlene needed help finding her place on a Myra hat she was making Shyla....so I just finished the hat....please note, Darlene knit most of this hat, I merely finished it (but it is in black yarn...and you know what they say about that):

Oh, and Darlene and I are starting a new Myra hat today....Yeah!

Antonio was here this past weekend and he wanted (and I quote), "Waffles with whipped cream and strawberries drizzled with chocolate....boy did I deliver....twice!  LOL!

I was able to finish socks while in hospital:

My Primavera blanket only needs the border....hopefully the border will be done in a day or two and i can check this off as finished.

It is almost 'officially' spring!

Hey everyone....only 8 more days till the first day of spring!  I am really sorry about my mid February post that apparently never got posted, but I posted it yesterday......

I have so much to catch up on.....I am so sorry I have been slacking on this blog.....it was my New Years resolution to do better here and I seem to be posting less....I am going to make a larger effort to fix that (but I really have had a lot going on as you will soon see).

First, Darlene's son is making leather goods and I could have sworn I had already posted this, but I can't find it (I swear I am losing my mind).  Here is a G+ hook holder he made me....I LOVE it.....they did a giveaway on Instagram and I ordered an H hook holder that is just like this Daisy one!  I have even ordered another with a pink center Daisy for an I hook....I am so excited!  You can find him on instagram here @7y_leather

I think I have told you about my Author friend, Maggie Cole!  I love her hot and steamy romance books....well, I won a kindle in her group....Thank you Maggie!

Chief got sick a while back (we think a spider bite) and he got to stay the day with Grandma......this big baby!

Darlene got new yarn for a sock head hat for Trenton....I love this...and I finished the hat (that cute mug is from the flowers Darlene got me for my Birthday)!

Darlene also made a hat for Trenton...it is his 17th birthday party tomorrow!  Happy Birthday Trenton!

Speaking of Birthdays....I had a great one....lots of great presents and bowling with Paige, Kody, Antonio, Bizzle and Sam!

I finished my Mae sweater!  I want to make another!

I got another Joji bag....I love this bucket style bag for blankets.

Then, I bought a new mower and did my lawn for the first time since last year and ......boom.....super soft ground......a leak in my pipe underground....ARGH!

Kody helped me put in a larger doggie door for Jax....this thing is HUGE! But Jax loves it (he was scared of it at first).

I made some cookies (Paige's recipe that I love) and got some new running shoes (kind of a weird combo there....LOL)!!!

I made Antonio his pair of Batman socks.....and got him into Diamond Painting (My friend, Paulette, got me into it).
