Six More Weeks Of.......

Hey everyone...Groundhog's day was 2 days ago and while I do not know if Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow or not.....how about 6 more weeks of knitting!

I have posted on here a few times about how much Lupe spoils me......here are some more beautiful ballones he got me

Well, now it is time for me to spoil him.  He has wanted a larger TV that is OLED, so I got him a 77" OLED EVO TV.....he loves it !

Of course, I love it too.....I already started (re-watching for the eleventy-billionth time) Harry Potter!

So now that we are officially in February, I can say I finished 6 items (I was at 5 items last blog post)in the month of January.  I finished (sans blocking) my all pink Hugs and Kisses blanket on Friday, the 31st of January!

I have really been in a crocheting mood, so Lupe and I went to Hobby Lobby. He picked out some yarn for a blanket for his soon to be born niece, and I got some yarn for a "spare" baby girl blanket.

So far it is looking great

Also, my cousin's son's wife is having a 3rd baby.  This is the family I have previously made the Good Vibes Throw in a Rouge and Blue.  The 3rd child is a girl, so I started a good vibes (baby size) in light pink.

I also wanted to make Antonio a Granny Square hat.  Here is the start

Do you guys know Ali from Savvy Skeins?  Well, I went to her house to help her with her new CSM....I got 1 measly picture of us setting up....LOL!  But I came home with some Bummer (a pic of dropped stitch) shirts and some boots and spurs!

Now for my biggest pride and joy....2 of my grands....Amira and Tone!  The cutest kids on the planet!

Happy Happy Happy Knitting!

Congrats Kansas City Chiefs!!!

Congrats to the Super Bowl LIV winners, the Kansas City Chiefs.  I was rooting for the Chiefs (Mahomes is from TX after all) but really enjoying the eye candy Garoppolo provided.

And it looks like an early spring for everyone....Punxsutawney Phil (who named him that anyway?) did not see his shadow.....so we all get an early spring!

I came home from work the other day and Jax was clearly super proud of himself....he chewed up a pillow and there were feathers and stuffing everywhere......

But he's such a cutie pie, it is hard to get mad at him (he really was so proud to be sharing all those feathers with mommy)!  I have this small ramp in front of the TV that I got from Darlene...it is meant for the small dogs (Precious and Purl) to climb onto....but Jax just climbed on it the other day....he has a big clear bin full of crap he chews up (books, wood, toys, sticks, etc)....so I assume he climbed up on the ramp to be by his toys....he really does not fit up there...LOL!

As far as knitting goes....I started a new hat for Cynthia....but ran our of the mohair....Darlene has ordered more and as soon as it comes it, I will finish the hat.

I also started on a sweater for me.  Darlene made me a sweater for Christmas.....I get it today, but I have already tried it on once and I LOVE IT....so I want to make more of these sweaters in different colors.  I know I look all weird sticking my chest out, but I am clearly not good at getting my picture taken while modeling a sweater....sorry!

New Sweater:

Joined in round, but have not yet divided for sleeves.

That baby blanket I made for Collins seems to be helpful...here is my cousin holding his new granddaughter

I got some Hedgehogs Fibers Sock yarn in Film Noir off of destash.....just because the price was great and this will give me enough of this yarn to make a large wrap or sweater.

I made some healthy food for the super bowl (as I was alone most of the day)....some deviled eggs and some stuffed bell peppers.

And that is all I have this week.....I leave you with an amazing optical illusion (sorry, I could not help it)....and some other sayings like other weeks.

Happy Happy Happy Knitting!

Happy Ground Hog Day....a week late.......

I am sorry that I completely forgot that last Monday was Ground Hog Day....time to see if we were going to get more knitting winter time or more knitting spring time......either way, I am knitting and so is punxsutawney phil!!!

I finished those pink, grey, black and white socks........

I love them!  I am also trucking along with my burberry socks

and......I finished my "A Day to Remember" shawl....it is blocking!

On Thursday, I decided at the last minute to make a Ninja Turtle Hat for Antonio.  I was not impressed with the way the pattern was written, but I expressed my concerns to the designer and she refunded my money paid, and I was very thankful......I know it would be better for me to have a picture of Antonio modeling this hat...but I will get one eventually....for now, you are going to have to make due with a picture of me wearing it.

Last week I told you that I started Chateau for me....well, I restarted with a smaller needle size and I am looking forward to getting it done.....all the Biggo that I ordered came in:

I also got some Dragonfly Fibers  Djinni Sock yarn....in a gorgeous Spooky Colorway:

I also got yarn for Loopy Academy Semester 2.....we need to make something with stripes (not self striping yarn), something felted, and something with slipped stitches in the pattern.....all items need to be at least 175 yards.  For the stripes, I am going to use Malabrigo Sock yarn in Black and Tiziano Red to make Foolproof (yarns to the far right in picture).....for the felted, I am going to make a Felted Circular Hot Pad with Cascade 220 in the Glamour colorway (the middle red skein).  Lastly, for the slipped stitch, I am going to make Pin Striped Socks (and my friend Tami is going to knit along with me) with the Tumbleweed Aurora self striping yarn in the Campfire colorway (the skein to the farthest right):

I also got started on a new KAL that a friend talked me into...the great thing about this KAL is that you only get one clue a month....so far I have had 2 clues....January clue and February clue.....now, I am not done with the February clue, but I am loving the way this yarn is knitting up....it is the skein I won from Camp Loopy last year....Mrs Crosby Hat Box in the Summer Bloom Colorway

I got some new project bags that I am in love with from AwesomeGrannie....I got the Frogs in a large bag and the Birds in a medium bag.....I love the matching insides so much....they are so happy!

Oh, and my  first package of yarn from the Strickmich!Club 2015 came in....it is Wollmeise Blend (an MCN blend) in the Tulpe colorway...the pattern is awesome too and I cannot wait to cast on.  I do want to join in on the KAL that Martina is doing with the club, so I will at least wait till the 14th of this month to cast on....the funny thing is that this past Monday, I was thinking how badly I wanted to try the new Wollmeise Blend yarn and I ordered a skein....in a dark red....so I guess I will just have more now when it finally comes in :)

Well,  think that is all I have for the knitting....I wanted to show you a picture of a non yarn related stash enhancement....my daughter went to Buck-ees and got me this coffee travel mug....I LOVE IT!!!!

Well, that is it for now.....during the week it did not feel like I was getting enough knitting in...but now that I have typed it all out and uploaded the photos...I feel pretty accomplished!

Here is some motivation for you!
