It's already June??

  Hey everyone....can you believe it is already June?

I feel like I am kinda slacking in my knitting and crocheting lately....because as I post these blog posts, I fell like I don't have much......but here we go.

I got some new yarn....last week I got 4 skeins of DK weight yarn with nylon in it, and this week I got another.  My friend, Elizabeth, has been pointing out all the DK weight yarn with nylon (so all this purchasing his her fault)...and this one was no different.

Last week I posted my Monthly Shawl Yarn and it made me realize I had not been posting those....so here is the line up so far.

I have really struggled adding the new color to this shawl as the crochet pattern is not anything like I have done before (two rs rows, two ws rows....almost like brioche in knitting).....so I finally made myself sit down and figure it out......it took me HOURS....I am not exhaggerating....HOURS with trying to go back and then forward and then back and messaging a lady on FB with the Jimmy Beans Club Group.....and I think I have finally fudged it enough to where it looks decent.

I worked on the monthly blankets and I am almost finished with March...but the important part is that I have started April on both blankets....yahoo!!

Antonio Graduated from 5th to 6th Grade.....and I got him (and me) each a Crumble cookie.  Mine has the bite taken out...LOL!

 Hey everyone.....I hope you had a fabulous Memorial Day!

Last week Paige and I got to hit the gym together, which we have not done in a long time.

I got some new DK yarn that has Nylon in it...it is called West 7th Wool Merino DK

I finished my slipping sideways socks

I finished the March pieces for the Monthly Quilty Blanket and started a couple of the April pieces.

I got yarn for my Monthly shawl kit....this is the May color called Vintage...I really need to get crocheting on that shawl.

I got some new Vitamins....and while I will not buy again, I love this message from Winnie the Pooh.

I've also been TRYING to eat better....and this is currently my favorite salad.  I love it with nuts added, but I ran out.

Happy Birthday Mommy!

 Today is my mother's 82 Birthday.....Happy Birthday Mommy!

We had dinner at her house this past Sunday!

I have been working on both the crochet shawls:

I finished Antonio's Socks

I finished one Harley Sock and started 2nd

I worked a little on one of the monthly blankets...they are both officially on March Colors (yes, I know it is May).

Not so great news...followed by great news!

 Hey everyone....How ya doing?  I am okay.  I have had some bad news this week, and I am trying to be positive, but my depression is sucking me in.  My mother went to her quarterly oncology visit and she has several new tumors in her abdomen.  Now, we have walked this road before and came away A-Okay, so I am praying for the same results....we will know more in 2 weeks.

The great news is that my niece graduated from SMU with her masters in Accounting.  Yes, I know my newphew is the one wearing the gown in the first photo, but it was my niece that graduated!

On to the knitting....I have been in a funk (no surprise).....but....I finished a sweater...the KAL sweater.

I got May's blanket yarn

and I bought yarn for a sweater....a tank top style called Wisp Tank.  Here is the yarn....I love it!

I got my nails and toes done for Mother's Day and ordered myself cookies....Now, the door dash driver was terrible....the cookies were all smashed on one side....but, I knew her (did not realize till she showed up) so I would have felt bad giving a bad review, so I didn't....but I realize I am not doing others favors by not letting her know she should be more careful with her deliveries....not let them slide around in the car.....I still ate them.

Honestly, that is really all I have....I really have been in a 'funk' and kinda depressed (even before my mother's not so great news)....I hope I can snap out if it soon...I seem to go through this more and more....I am not sure what else I can do.

Happy Mother's Day!

 It is almost Mother's Day, so instead of being late....I thought I would be the first to tell you....Happy Mother's Day!

I have been working on a buch of different stuff and only one thing really consistently.....I need to be less scatter brained, but I am what I am...LOL!  I need to focus more on one project and finish...but who am I kidding...I have always been like this.

First, I started a headband with Darlene....and finished it.  Yahoo.  This is for Peyton!

I worked a little more on Antonio's sock, turned one heel

I turned one heel in the harley socks I started too.

Then remember some of that yarn I recently bought....I want to make more virus shawls with them:

So I started two!

Lastly, I worked on my sweater for the podcast KAL.....I am almost ready for ribbing, and I think I am going to make short slevees.

I have a bunch of flower pictures for you....I love all my dogs, but Flower rarely stays inside (I think she was an outside dog with her previous owner)...and I have to snap the pics when I can....but one pic is from outside...she is silly!  I have since seen Jackson on the same table.  LOL!

That is all I have.....my last picture this time will be in honor of my daughter, Paige, and her love of plants...I have a black thumb!
