Double Skunked and Happy Anniversary

Hey everyone.  How is your week?  Mine has been......eventful!  LOL!  Lets start with my protective dog (he is the biggest baby usually).  We woke up Wednesday to a very skunky smell.  He got skunked.  We did not know it at the time, but he actually killed the skunk.  It was in the backyard....dead.  I washed him really good and he was not happy with me (after saving our life and all)!

On Friday he smelled even worse.....yup, he got skunked again....and it was also dead in the backyard.  So I got some specifc skunk shampoo, and this stuff really worked.  The smell is not gone, but boy did it help.  He again, was not happy with us after again saving our life.  Lupe fixed the fence and we have gone back to closing the doggy door at night (we had a few accidents from purl, which is the only reason why we started opening the doggy door again).

After last weekend of crocheting, I did a lot more crocheting....I worked on my virus shawl....a lot!

and I started a new one......

Darlene had mentioned she needed more dishcloths, so I made her these two (the pattern is carpe diem):

and I worked on my top down pullover.....I really want to get this one done so I can wear it!

I also worked on my morning rain.  Only about 4 rows, but those 4 rows took me over 2 hours, so my brain and eyes needed a break!

Lupe and I celebrated a 5 year anniversary (5 years since we both said we were officially a couple) so we went to Pearl Put to celebrate.  It is a brand new Put Put golf course downtown at The Pearl.  The Pearl used to be where they brewed Pearl beer.....now it is a historic brewery complex that offeres dining, shopping, a famers' market and even spaces.  We had an amazing brisket grilled cheese sandwich that was absolutely amazing from an outside brisket restaurant and shared a slice of cheesecake from cafe lorraine.....it was pretty hot, so forgive me for how sweaty I am in some pictures!

All in all, it was an amazing week.  This week I will be at my dad's most of the week with floor installers, so I am not sure how much knitting/crocheting I will get done.  Have a great week!

Happy Happy Happy knitting!
