Hey everyone! How have you been? I'm doing well. I finally feel like I am catching up on some stuff....but I am also starting stuff......when will I ever learn?
I wanted to add that I am not sure how many of you follow me from life of a knitphomaniac dot com or just knitphomaniac dot com....but this morning I noticed the later was not working but now it is....so I am sorry for that little glitch.
Okay, let me see where to start......first, I got the yarn for Bluey
I finally got around to joining 2 squares for Antonio's AI Blanket. I need to get back to this project!
I have been working on the test knit
I finsihed the Cowl made with the Summer Soiree yarn...and also had my nails done in a bright orange that looked fabulous as I finished the knitting!
I ordered yarn for the Autumn League Pullover and it came in. I mananged to do 2 swatches, but I am not sure when we cast on. Jennifer, Darlene and I are all knititng it with the Lion Brand Cotton Jeans Yarn.
I also ordered yarn to make Lily (Lupe's great niece) a blanket. I am going to make the Honeycomb Patchwork blanket. It reminds me a bit of the oceanic blanket.
and I also made some progress on my Wilfreda
Lupe made me a delicious Chicken Salad. I also ordered these new to me protein pretzels....it was so yummy!
Speaking of Yummy, Lupe found a place (from social media) called SAS General Store that sells $0.25 sodas and $0.05 popcorn.....yup, $0.30 for both.....so we went. They had old cars, and old bulk candy you could fill a little bucket for $4.50. We even got a double scoop cone of ice cream for $2.50 each.....It was really neat.
Today is Mia's first day of Primay 4 (3rd grade to us).....isnt she the cutest?
Lupe and I also went on another hike. We went to Guadalupe River State park and it was great. Next time I think we will take the dogs.
After the hike, we went to Sister Creek Vineyards.....I got a bottle of my favorite muscat canelli reserve wine and then I asked Lupe to take me to Comfort so I could see if Tin Smith's wife still carrys yarn (I heard they do not). They do still have yarn. Mostly Malabrigo, wonderland yarns, and some baby yarn like organic cotton and some alpaca….a nice selection of yarn…..but they have SOOOOO much more embroidery/cross stitch stuff than before. It looks great and it was busy….but a lot less yarn than before.
I did not buy any yarn from there (I mean, I do not need anymore yarn) but it made kinda want to pull out some of my old cross stitch I have in the garage....we will see.
Lupe put in a new fixture in my yarn room/office that takes 4 bulbs (he took out the ceiling fan) and I got Daylight bulbs and I swear my yarn room is now lit up enough to land a plane.....LOL! Now, everytime I walk in here, my yarn is way more gorgeous than before and I just want to knit with all of it....like at the same time....LOL!
