It's soooooooo HOT!

Hi everyone!  I am not sure how many of you are in Texas and how many of you are in much cooler weather...but it has been HOT here.  Yesterday it seems that my AC ran all day and still the house got hotter, and not cooler......around 8-9 pm, it finally started to cool off.

Well, I will jump right into the knitting.  I showed you Antonio's Sock Monkey Bed Socks last week....well, here is a picture of him wearing them....I think they are a bit too small.  I may take out the toes, and knit them a little longer....or just make him a new pair.

Then, I finished Rosen Bridge.....Yahoo!  Camp Loopy #2 done!

Here it is before blocking, during blocking and after blocking....I really like it!

The only other thing I knit on was maybe 2 or 3 rounds on Sandbank (I do not have a picture) and some socks I need to finish by Friday.  These are for the Sock Beginner KAL with HiyaHiya.....I am enjoying them, but I am itching to cast on some socks with Self Striping yarn.

Speaking of self striping....or gradient...a friend of mine posted a picture on FB over the weekend.....it was of a shawl called Halona.  She is making it with a gorgeous rainbow gradient yarn.....it was yarn she spun herself from a Loop Bullseye of fiber.....
Here is her picture (drool):

Well, that made me get out my spinning and see if I could do it one more time.....I moved some fiber onto the gorgeous Bosworth spindle I bought from Darlene and gave it a whirl....well, my grandson said it best:

Antonio:  "Ga-Ma, is that hard?"
Me: "Yes Handsome, it is very hard!"
Antonio:  "If it is so hard, the don't do it."

Here is my spinning on the spindle (no laughing):

I came to the realization that I am just not ever going to be a spinner....I want to still practice a little here and there with some of the fiber I have...but I will never be able to do my Loop Bullseye fiber justice....So, I contacted a spinning friend, Laurel, and she said she would spin it for me.....she is an awesome spinner and I cannot wait to mail it off to her to spin for me......Thank you Laurel!  I think I will only get about 500 yards from it....so I will have to find the perfect shawl for it.  Here is the my Loop Bullseye in Abracadabra color:

Then, I have a couple of  stash enhancements

First is the most awesome bag from Bags By Awesomegrannie......To try to condense the story, Darlene and her hubby had a contest about how to make some bags with scrap material....and LAST week Darlene came to work with 2 awesome scrap bags....her hubby did not color coordinate, but she did......I told her I thought the bag was awesome and she had lots of great feedback on her instagram photo...but (now, remember, I am not a sewer, so I do not really know what I am talking about), they take forever to make.....but she made me one!  She said it took over 3 hours, so I understand why she is not going to make them for the shop....but I am soooooooooo happy she made me one!  Thank you Darlene!  My Camp Loopy #3 is going in this bag....and I get to start that on Saturday!

I got some more of that color changing cotton from Wolle's Yarn....with a 50 grams of contrast black:

Oh.....and some good news.....it is official!  I officially have more hand knit socks than store bought socks.....mind you, I do not really have a lot of store bought socks, and I am no where near a full sock drawer for #operationsockdrawer....but I was pretty happy!

Okay....someone got a new rubber band gun...Jaime (aka Pam-Pa) got it for Antonio and he loves it!

I have a video of him too!

I leave you with some pics of my handsome man.....I watched him this past week on Tuesday everning, Thursday evening, then Friday evening all the way to Sunday evening.....boy am I pooped...but it was lots of fun!  He stayed cool with a tiny little pool that I got him for my house.....

Stay cool my friends!

Happy Happy Happy Knitting!
