An Exciting New Project to Cast On!!

 Hey Everyone!  I hope you are well.  If you follow me on Social Media (I rarely post there), you know I got an exciting text from my niece.....Grace!

So you know what that means!  More Yarn and a New Project.

Here is the yarn and pattern she picked.  Purl Soho has not shipped yet, but they had a big 25% off all yarn sale, so they said they are swamped.  Hopefully it ships soon!

I should be getting the yarn I ordered for a hat for Amira today, so I am hoping to get that hat started and finished quickly.  I think we only have one more cold snap on the way.  Look how cute she was in last Friday's outfit!

I got an OBSCENE amount of gifts all week from Lupe....he really does spoil me too much!

He spoils the dogs too.  Purl is only missing because she is snuggled in a bed in the other room during this pic

Paige, Bizz and Sam went to the rodeo two weeks ago and it looks like they had a great time.

As far as knitting and crocheting.  I worked on my Unicorn Wrap, a shell blanket for a baby and the good vibes baby blanket for my cousin's soon to be born grandchild...

My baby is 28!

 Hey everyone.....How have y'all been?

I have been doing okay.  I am still plugging away on the test knit....and recently 2 of the 'clues' were pretty intricate cables....so they were time consuming, but I cannot show the work yet.

I did however block the It Brings You Peace Shawl

I pulled out my garter monthly blanket...I am attaching August yarn to this blanket so I feel kinda caught up....buton the Quilty blanket (the other monthly blanket), I am still working on June....so I need to get my butt in gear on that one.

My Baby had her 28th birthday!  We went to Parry's Pizzeria and Taphouse.  It was me, Kody, Paige, Antonio, Sam, and Bizzle.....I only got pics of Paige, Kody and Tone....

Bizzle's Bday was 2 days later....so on Bizz's birthday, Paige, Bizz and Sam all went to the gym to workout because Bizz did not feel like going out.

Then, they next day...they all went on a hike

The next day, we all went to Sam's for dinner (Sam made a delicious chicken Alfredo).....the only pic I got was the sign that Sam's kids made for Bizz and Paige....I love this sign

I finally framed my "Just a girl" poster...and one of the diamond paintings that Paulette made me (welcome to the funny farm)....they are on my office/yarn room above my computer screen

I recently podcasted with Elizabeth and Melissa and afterwards we were texting about our possible new KAL.....the Plumpy Shawl KAL....I have wanted to make this for forever....so I ordered yarn for it.  You know how I am making the crochet shawl where I get yarn every month?  Well, I am loving the fade of it, so I took the last four colors and just ordered them in dk weight.

I just got the august color that is rose quartz for the shawl

National Suicide Prevention Month

 Hey everyone!  How have you been?  I hope all is well.  September is National Suicide Prevention Month....while I feel strongly that every month should be Suicide Prevention Month, I will happily adverise any suicide prevention at any time!  And how cool is it that now you just need to dial 9-8-8 for the suicide prevention line!

So....you all probably know I have a new foster....well, she was selected to go to a partner shelter in the north....here is her Transport application picture....isn't she cute?  I have to drop her off for transport on the 17th of September.

Now, in order to be a foster for Blue, I had to get Jackson neutered.  while I got to bring Blue home before he was neutered, Blue was spayed and Jackson was 'scheduled' for his neuter.  I have been meeting to do this for a few years, and finally got it done.  

He was not happy with is cone

so he broke it and I think he was quite proud of himself 

Here is a picture of him as a puppy 3 1/2 years ago at Paige's when he would sit and eat and today he did the same so I thought a side by side was called for.

Antonio started school

and Ped had a party at his house....here is the man that tries to kill me every Sunday, along with Paige, Bizz and Sam

I finished the 2 baby blankets!!!!  Both were gifted on August 27th!

I started working on my  second 1/2 and 1/2 triangles again (no my first one is not done).

I have met my goal of finishing each monthly blanket clue in the month I get the yarn....here is August...finished the 30th!

Paige ordered the wrong size of apple watch band and I got to keep it......it is so soft and I love it!

I used my Kamado Joe Jr again....and really love it!

Happy 10 Year Blogiversary!

 Hey everyone.....can you believe I have been at this for TEN YEARS!  Not always consistent, but hey...10 years!  Happy Blogiversary!  Thanks for following me and reading (and seeing pictures) about my crazy life!!!

I have lots of pics to share.....my friend from Canada, Paulette, came to see me and I had the lakehouse retreat at that same time so she could see all our knitting friends.  Here is picture overload:

I usually get my toes (and sometimes nails) done before the lakehouse retreat...but this year I was so busy I didn't...so it did it afterwards....LOL!  Plus Jennifer's nails were so on point, I was a little jealous!

My sister gave me a humming bird feeder a while back and I FINALLY got a hummingbird to drink from it!

I ordered some yarn in September LAST YEAR and it finally made it.  I had already filed a claim with etsy and got my money refunded, but I was pleasantly surprised when the package still showed up.  The colorway is back to school and I got 2 in fingering and 1 in dk weight.  This colorway reminds me of the San Francisco 49ers

I also got some yarn for this year's Advent Stole Test Knit!  Look at this color....Darlene is going to love it!

I am almost done with Trenton's Blanket and have started two blankets for Nina and Shannon's soon to be baby arriving in December this year!

So after I went to the lakehouse, it was Paige's turn....so she, Kody (he only stayed 2 days), Antonio, Texas (Paige's Great Dane), Bizzle, Haze and Nova (Bizz's great Dane's), Sam, Callan, Chloe, and Erikson (Sam's kids) all went to the lakehouse....who is missing from this list you ask?  Why Jazz (Paige's Pit Mastiff mix) and Jade (Sam's Pit puppy)......where are they you ask?  Why they are at grandmas!  Jax loves having Jazz here.....but Jade?  Not so much.....
