Advents in April

Hey Everyone.....How are you?  I am hanging in there.  Well, I have about a billion things on the needles, so what have I been doing?  Thinking about all the advent sets I have.  Last post I showed all the neutral yarn.

I got 1 in 2022 that I started to crochet a blanket with, but I do not love it.  Then I got 3 sets last year....what was I thinking?  And I have ordered one set this year (for end of year delivery of course).....So, I got some of these sets out to admire and try to decide what to do with them.  I thought all advents kind of faded or somehow meshed into the next color....but with one kit last year, I can see that is not the case.  I got the Yarn Cafe Creations Harry Potter Year 1 Advent.  This is a collaboration with her daughter at Dragon Hoard Yarns.  Cafe Creations did odd number days, and Dragon Hoard Yarns did even number days....but none of these fade or mesh to roll into the next color.....so honestly, I have no clue what I am going to do with this set.  It also came with one full skein (in the middle) in Gryfindor colorway.  I was going to put these in numeric order, but it looked better in dyer order so to the left are 1, 3, 5, 7.....23 and to the right are 2, 4, 6, 8.....24:

I also got an advent calendar from Suburban Stitcher....last year was a pink Christmas and I think this is my favorite....probably because it fades so well.  I even caked it all up and I think I will try to make the Cozy Comfort Throw.

Then I have an Emmas Yarn advent in fingering weight from 2022 and an Emmas Yarn advent in DK weight from 2023.  I think I might try the Sweet Shop Blanket with the DK weight one....but I am not sure.

I also got some Madeline Tosh Wool & Cotton in the Cold Drip Colorway.  I want to make the Me Time Tee with it

I also worked on this crocheted blanket......I was trying to finish it for my neighbor, whose daughter in law is expecting a girl, but I did not have enough time....I have one skein left before this one is done and it will go in the basket for future baby gifts.

My baby girl is so ready to have my granddaughter......any day now!

Lastly, I want to share that I am 99% sure that Flower thinks the new couch is just one oversized doggy bed.....LOL!  But she is so cute, I do not mind!

That is it.....Have a fabouls week!

Foster Doggie Picture Overload

Hey everyone!  I have to be honest......I really have not been knitting much this past week!

However,  I have been busy with the dogs.....I am pretty much enjoying my new addition, Flower...and while these pictures are of Flower.....rest assured that ALL my dogs are getting MORE than enough attention.....so this post is going to have some Flower doggie picture overload.

I do have 3 stash enhancements.

I got my February Yarn for my Quilty Monthly Pattern

Then.....I decided to do the other colorway as well....maybe just a faded garter stitch pattern

So this is January color for the other color blanket

And then here is the February Color for the other color blanket

So here is February together

My friend in Canada, Paulette, sent me and Antonio some house slippers that she made with a Phentex Yarn and they are SOOOOOO comfy.  I have ordered some of this yarn so I can try to make some of these slippers too!  Thank you Paulette!!!

Antonio and I made some Chocolate Dipped Strawberries

and we did a lot of puzzling this passt weekend.  The Spiderman is a 500 piece puzzle (which is a little more challenging) and the Iron Man is a 300 peice puzzle (which is a little easier for us).

and I did finish one cowl this past week

And now for your Flower doggie picture overload....Have a great week!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Hey everyone....here it is December 20th and I wanted to do one last update before the end of the year!

I bought some yarn with great intentions to make my entire family socks for Christmas.....

But I need to learn my machine better as I had some tension issues

So here is my first pair of socks from my machine and it was a tube where I hand knit the ribbing and added afterthought heels and toes.

I got some madeline tosh ASAP yarn for hats...

and some amazing yarn presents from friends

I started a baby blanket for my neighbor's first grandchild

I also started some socks with the Noro Yarn I showed you last blog post

The SNB girls had their annual Christmas party at Elizabeth's house....I made ornaments and it was a great time....so glad I went!

I had a flat tire last Wednesday when I got up to go to my 6 am workout....but I drove to a gas station for air, and then a tire shop once they were open.

I have to share a picture of my gorgeous niece (on the left) and her amazing orange boots!  LOVE!!

That is pretty much all I have.....I hope you all have a fabulous Christmas and Happy New Year!
