It's September!

 I am sooooo happy it is September!  It means Paige is 30 (as of yesterday), fall is around the corner and Football is starting!  Yahoo!!!

Happy 30th Birthday to my "baby"!

The longhorns played this past Saturday and well, it was opening game.  They did not do great, but I am not going to crucify them.....I am sure it was a very high pressure game, now it is over and we can get on and win all the rest!

I think this past New Year's day I posted about Lupe's best friend, Brent and his wife and family.  Well, they rented an air bnb and invited us out for the day.  I watched the game there (Brent is almost as big of a longhorn fan and I am)!  We had a fabulous time and cannot thank them enough for the invite.  I even got in the pool with made Lupe super happy!

I have only worked on 3 things this week.....Wilfreda, I finished the body but now I am waiting on some Chiaogoo Shorties in size 10.5 to arrive (should be delivered tomorrow) to do the sleeves.  I made it longer than the pattern called for and did not do the back buttox area shaping....just straight down.

I finished one skein of yarn on the honeycomb blanket

and got lots of inches done on Audrey

Joji's Fall KAL is starting (today I think).  I signed up with the Rugged Coat (a wip) in hopes to get it done! I just realized that WIPS are not for official sign up (oops) but I will participate in the wips challenge.  I also signed up with Julie's wrap because I really want to make it....but not sure it will happen this year.

Lupe's mom is not doing well.  They are being told she is in the midst of "transitioning", so I pray she is no longer in pain.

Can you believe it is already September?

Hey everyone!  Sorry my blog is late this week......How are you?  September is HERE!!!!!

My baby girl is 24 years old!  Happy Birthday Paige!!

I finished Paige's sweater and she LOVES it!  She was totally surprised!

I also finished the slipper test knit....but I started the decreases too late....so I am going to frog back and re-do the decreases earlier!

I worked on my Weekender....I am 1/2 way done with the 2nd sleeve....can't wait to finish!

I have been sticking with my diet.......but did splurge the other day on Pumpkin Spice Latte and Banana Bread!

Jax loves to get one article of my clothing and lay with it....I thought it was so cute, I snapped a picture

He also had a friend come over!  The neighbor got a new dog and she and Jax have been busting the fence and she has been coming over.....here they are helping me with my laundry and do the sheets!

I got Antonio after his 2nd day of school......I love this kid!

Not a good sign on a Monday!

Hi everyone....how are you?  I am blah......it is not a good sign when you forget your coffee on a Monday morning.  Then when going to the break room at work to make coffee in my awesome French press cup from Darlene, I had to go back to the break room a 2nd time for sugar and then forgot creamer....I tell you, I do not function well without coffee.

But my coffee is now brewing and some earl grey tea too!

Darlene and I are going to make a couple of Football Hats...maybe for the April Scrappy Hat KAL....so we ordered yarn and pom poms from Jimmy Beans Wool.......and it all came in!

 



We also joined the Jimmy Beans Wool Jan-Mar Crochet Club where we are making a pouf......we got our kits Friday

I had a K hook at home

And got started

I got maybe 1/2 way done with the first clue.

I was not able to work on my pouf all weekend because Jaime's nephew's wife is due one week from today.....yikes....so I need to get a baby blanket done for her.....

 

I am only about 1/4 of the way done....but this is what I will pretty much be crocheting on all week:



Well, I think that is it.....Paige leaves to Atlanta tomorrow so I will have my  hands full with Antonio and Paige's 2 dogs.....so not sure how much I will have to post next week.....we will see.
