Happy 2nd Birthday Amira (and Happy Mother's Day to all Mothers)!

 Hey everyone......how are you?  I have had a crazy week but hanging in there.  Not too much knitting, but lots of fun.

First......Amira's 2nd birthday!  I finished Bluey!

We got her a bluey chair and some clothes (I did not get pics of the clothes but they included Bluey PJs)

She loved it.....took her to play in the moon jump!

As I was seaming Bluey, I realized my tissues, energy drink and laptop all matched so I had to snap a pic!

and my favorite flowers ever!  I love looking at these on my desk!

Next was Mother's Day....I hope all Mothers reading this had an awesome Mother's Day!  Earlier in the week my babies (Jackson, Flower and Purl) paid to get my nails and toes done.....I love them!  Lupe said I should do something different like blue or purple so I went with purple and some daisies!

Aren't they cute!?!  On the actual day......Lupe got me more flowers (he really does spoil me) and we went to see my mom.

We saw Lupe's mom too, but I forgot to get a picture.  It was the first time anyone had navigated to her columbarium so I sent instructions to the family on how to get there.  My dad went and he was so happy he had directions to go see her.  Lupe and I went by his house and I swear my mom is looking after him.....here is a hawk that was keeping an eye out!

We also borrowed my dad's wheel barrow and an extra shovel because Lupe had some top soil dirt delivered.....6 cubic yards!

and he got busy putting the dirt down (look at my sexy fiance)!

He also made the most delicious brisket.....it was sooooo good and we have lots of left overs.

Lastly....how about some knitting?  LOL!  I worked on Paige's sweater.....I only have 5,428 stitches to go and it is done so I am hoping to finish it this week.  

I got some yarn to make another one of these for myself.....I love the color.  This is Purl Soho Serif in Yellow Ochre color.

Now, as far as the Ankers sweater I want to have finished by the end of this month, well, I am about 11 days behind.....but, I am hoping to double up days for the next 11 days and maybe I can still have it done by end of month to wear to Peyton's graduation party on the 30th!  Fingers crossed.  I have just divided for sleeves.

Amira is One!!

Hello everyone....I hope you are well.  Amira is finally One (pics a little further down)!!!

Also, Happy Belated Mother's Day to anyone that is or has a mother.....That means pet moms too (the best kind of moms....LOL!!).

Lupe got me some yarn I have been wanting.....you know how your stash is overflowing but you still do not have the exact right yarn for a project you saw and you want to make?  This was a perfect example.  I saw this on Instagram (I swear Instagram is going to bankrupt me and make me have more WIPS than I already have!)!!

I searched and searched for the pattern and bought it.....contemplated for a while as to what yarn is in my stash that I could use, but nothing that I wanted to spend hours knitting a top and cardigan with....so Lupe ordered this for me.

I wanted the beige, but could not find it so I said the Oyster color would work.....and I am actually thrilled I got this color because I really love it.

I worked on Nia's Blanket!

And I finished a few things.....first, I had to undo one of Lupe's mom's hats and add 2 repeats and re-finish it.

I finished a hat for Mia....I hope to mail it this week!

And, I finished the basket for Amira and took it to her party.  People could not believe I made it.  I told them it was my first one.....and a couple of pics of the birthday girl!!

Lastly, I finished the Simple HAP blanket for #2025twtshawlkal.

Lastly, I finished chart B on the Teemant Shawl KAL

And.....I thought I would share that Carrie Underwood is a new crocheter!
