Knitting and Crochet MoJo!

Hey everyone!  How are you?  I think last week I told you my knitting mojo had been off so I tried to do more corcheting...well, now I think they are both off....my knitting and crochet mojo!  But I am working on trying to bring them back!

I cast on some socks.....and finished them....they are DK weight so they go way faster than fingering weight!

I also worked on the hat I started at the lakehouse

but that is pretty much all I worked on.....but, I did get some pretty yarn in the mail.  The burnt orange will be a sweater (I think) and the varigated yarn will be a hat with socks (I think).

I got an adorable yarn shirt that while I am sure is made for fall and halloween time....but it reminds me of Harry Pottery and yarn

I also went a bit crazy on my sourdough bread journey.  I made a loaf that I think maybe over proofed.

After stretch and folds

After shaping and putting in banneton

Next morning before baking

After baking

Its pretty 'flat'...but it was still tasty

So I asked my sourdough guru, Tami and she said to feed my starter a few days in a row and gave me the ratio....I did it for 3 days I think.....and it was PERFECT!  I made two new loaves and these were my best loaves of bread EVER....and the tastiest!

Here are some sandwiches (ignore the fat on the right....that was for the dogs....LOL)!

Lupe got me some flowers and my mom gave me some flowers (the red ones are from my mom)

I got the cutest outfit for Amira and took it to her....while I forgot to take pics of the outfit, I did get some pics of Amira (I love this new phone...the pick quality is way better than my old phone)!

Lastly, I am sad that the 49ers lost....but the dogs were playing around while representing (and you can also see how amazing Lupe's peace lily plant is doing).

I hope yall have a fabulous week!

Happy First Day of Fall Yall!

Hey everyone, I am sooooo happy we are heading towards Fall!  It is still super warm in Texas, but I think we get a cool front on Thursday!  yeah!

I got the new iPhone 17 and I love it!  I had a 14, so this is a big upgrade for me.  I do not think I have ever kept an iPhone for 3 years, but I had my 14 for 3 years.....I am in love with this cosmic orange!

And I LOVE the pics it takes.   We went to the lakehouse this past weekend (last minute text from my sister that it was available) and I took this pic on the way while Lupe was driving and the car was moving.....I think it is a FABULOUS pic.  My 14 would not have taken a pic like this.....

Lupe started work at Coca-Cola this past week and he is super excited.  He has never had a "career" with benefits and a 401k, so he is excited.  I miss him like crazy during the days because he always spoiled me all day....but I am super happy for him.

On Thursday my sister texted that the lakehouse was not going to be used this past weekend if we wanted to go....since Lupe works during the days and I work from home, I got us packed up and we headed out.  It was very nice and relaxing and just what we needed.  Jakson got in the water to try to get a duck.....I could not believe it!

This is a pic on 30x zoom to the park!

Jackson drying off after duck chasing!

and my pretty girl sleeping!

Purl was there too, but she is really getting old and did not get up much.

I started a new hat while I was at the lakehouse!

Before we went to the lakehouse my knitting mojo was off, so I had only crocheted during the week....not much, but a little.  I got back to making squares for Antonio's blanket

I snagged some pics off of Paige and Kody's instagram of Amira and Antonio....I love these kiddos!

I also got a hold of my old trainer, Ped, and he is writing out workouts for me.  I am soooooo thankful!  That is all I have......I hope you all have a fabulous week!

Going to Gym vs Home Gym....which is better?

Hey everyone!  How are you?  I am hanging in there.....I have been thinking lately that I really need to get my fitness in check.  I used to go to the gym so regularly and I really enjoyed it, but ever since Ped (my trainer guy) left the gym he trained at, my fitness life has been a disaster.  I joined Gold's Gym and try to go, but it is just not the same.  I think I just do not like too many people....big surprise there!

So, Lupe and I decided to bite the bullet and set up a gym at home.  My garage was (kinda still is) a disaster, so I had to do a ton of purging just to make room in the garage.  Here are some in process pics.

Then we had to wait on all the weights and kettlebells to get here.

Now I just gotta get "back in the routine" of working out.  I went to see Paige and the kiddos this past Saturday (can you believe I did not take a single picture!  Shame on me!) and she told me that Ped will give me my workouts if I tell him what I have.....so I sent this last pic to him and he said okay.  I know he has his family in town right now, but I am hoping he gives me some guidance once they leave.

As far as knitting.....I finished my Test Knit!  Yahoo!!

I think it came out great!

The only other thing I have worked on is my Audrey sweater.  I tried it on once or twice and it is kinda tight....so I either need to really get to the gym and loose some extra in my middle or block the crud out of this.....LOL!

All week and before last night's football game:

After the football game:

Doesn't look like much but its about 2" more :)

Oh.....and last week....I forgot to tell ya'll!  It must have been chilly in Dallas because I got a message from my niece that she was wearing the first cardigan I ever made her.  It was a copy of a cardigan I made Paige and actually, I have 2 of Paige's cardigans here at my house.....I need to get those back to her.  Anyway, it is nice to get these small messages.

Darlene sent Lupe a plant and a card with condolences for the loss of his mother.....Lupe was truly overwhelmed with the gesture and was so thankful.  He is going to love caring for this Peace Lily!

Well, that is really all I have.  I hope yall have a fabulous week!
