Happy Birthday to my amazing fiance!

Hi everyone!  I hope you had an amazing week.  I am a day late posting because yesterday was Lupe's 47th Birthday!  I love this man so much and I am so lucky I have him in my life.....we had a fabulous day together for his Birthday!  On the Sunday before his birthday we went to Son's River Ranch and went tubing and kayaking.  I have a little bit of a picture dump here!

Here is our little "covered area with picnic table and hamock" and honestly it was perfect for just the 2 of us.

they also have much larger cabanas:

Some of these pics were taken while phone was in the water proof container and I could not see the screen well so some are blurry, but we had a fabulous time!

I also got a pretty bad sunburn even though I really did stay on top of my sunscreen....clearly, not good enough

As for other parts of my week.....I had dinner at Paige's last Friday and played with this cutie pie!

Tone started High School yesterday!

Paige finally asked me for some of my sourdough starter (named Bruno):

I fed him before the day tubing and kayaking

and here he is after!  So, Paige is having fun with all the sourdough stuff!

If you read the mid July post about being double skunked.....we are now triple skunked.....My dogs (of course) think they have been super helpful in saving me and Lupe from the baby skunks that we think are coming from behind the fence.....Lupe, however, does not agree.  He has scolded the dogs and I cannot blame him....they have now torn up several fence pickets to save us from another baby skunk (that we found dead in the yard).  He has ordered some collars for the dog along with special fencing to hopefully keep the dogs away from the fence.  Fingers crossed!

I recently bought a bag from Bags by Awesome Granny and I also got a limited edition stitch marker from Ann Tudor for Maise, the Highland Cow.   Look how adorable

I put them together for my newest Virus Shawl (that I did do some work on this past week)

I also finished my other Virus Shawl.  This thing his HUGE with 21 increases (the double circle sections down the middle)!

Before finishing, I wound into new ball:

And finished with only 9 grams left

The last thing I want to share is this cool mini projector thingy that Lupe bought for our bedroom that puts like a night sky on the cieling.....there are several differnt discs (kind of like those vintage view master things we had as kids but this is much smaller).  Look how cool our cieling looks at night.....

That is all I have.....Have a great week!

Happy Birthday to ME!

Hey everyone.....I hope you are well.  I have tons of pics this week so buckle up!

It is my birthday this coming Wednesday (the 25th) and even though Lupe has already bought me everything my heart desires, he continues to spoil me daily!

He bought me a new bag/tote/purse from knit trolley (check her out on instagram or etsy)....it is not here yet, but this is from the listing:

He ordered me the February enchanted pages from chelsea yarns and it came in

He took me to Rolando's (the best taco place on the planet) and a new to us place called Mavericks in Floresville (it was delicious)

and he bought me a new curing iron

it curls my hair well.

He is also getting my pearls restrung...these are from my grandmother (who passed before I was born).....My aunt Natasha gave them to me several years ago and I wore them till they broke....then they sat for too long waiting to get restrung.

Lastly, he bought us a new loveseat with HEAT and MASSAGE!!! along with a new coffee table

The loveseat gets here today and I cannot wait for him to put it together!

We worked on cleaning out the shed this past weekend and found 4 newborn kittens.  We left them alone, but mom only came back for 2, and left 2.  My dogs thought they were a squeeky toy (I promise no kittens were hurt).  We took them to the shelter on Sunday......but my they were adorable.

As for knitting......I managed to get 12.5 grams knit on the Nuvem.  I switched cords too and took a pic with 2 cords on it

I worked on my lime green sweater

and my scrappy granny square sweater

I am starting a test knit for a little shawlette with this yarn

I also made some bread......one of my starters is an over achiever!

and while I tell you all about Lupe spoiling me, I promise I am good to him too....I made him schnitzel!

and I finally took a pic of him (isn't he so handsome!!) with his truck in daylight

Lastly......my best friend is so awesome!  Darlene made me the most gorgeous quilt and new bags by awesome grannie bag....did you know they come with a pocket now?  I love it!  Thank you Darlene!

Have a great week!
