Still No Granddaughter!

Hey everyone.  How are you. Well, my daughter was due April 23rd.  This past Monday she went to the hopsital to be induced.  Well, after several hours of administering pitocin, they sent her home.  Her contractions were coming in hot.....and then all fo a sudden they kinda slowed down and the intensity was much lower.......so they sent her home.

So, according her her last menstrual cycle, her due date was April 23rd....but apparently there were also 2 sonograms and according to the baby's measurements, that put her due dates at both April 27th and May 4th.....so I guess the dr is taking the latest of the dates.....which is this Saturday.  Now, Paige has been in labor for DDDDAAAYYYYSSSS and she is pretty tired of being pregnant and ready to have this baby.  I think this little girl has a bit of stubborness......and I can only imagine where she gets it from.....LOL!!!!!

So, I finished the crochet blanket and this is just going in a basket for future baby gifts.

After Paige toured the hospital, she told me the hospital was cold and asked me to make the baby a hat......so I made 2

Darlene sent me a jewelry row counter (I used when making the hats) and it is pretty cool....she also sent me tea and some of my favorite pens (and Paige's favorite pens because Paige is always stealing them). <3

Lastly, I had the most delicious salad from Las Palapas the other day I have to share.  It is the Stuffed Avocado (with shrimp) dish and half of the 'al carbon' salad....this was sooooo good, I might get another this week.

Now that I shared a fairly healthy salad....I have to share a story with you from yesterday.  Have you ever heard of a cronut?  Well in some of the romance novels I had read, they are always talking about cronuts (one of the main characters owns a bakery)....anyway, I have been thinking of them for MONTHS...and I aske Paige (who is a lover of all donuts) if she knows where they sell them.....and she pulled them up on a grocery app (HEB which is in Texas only) and they are not called Cronuts (what I had been searching for), but instead Glazed Croissant Donut (how simple).....anyway, so after we left the hospital, I went to Paige's HEB (not too far from mine, but a different one than the one I usually shop at) to get one......and.......

They were totally sold out........so this morning after my workout....I went to my parent's HEB (close to gym) and FINALLY!!!!!!

If you have anywhere that sells cronuts, sometimes croinuts, or just plain old glazed croissants......GO GET ONE......they are delicious!

Have a great week!

Happy Happy Happy Knitting!
