Happy National Pet Day!

Hi Everyone, did you know that today was National Pet Day?  I missed that yesterday was National Sibling Day....and I am sure my sister will forgive me...but my dogs might not forgive me if I forget National Pet Day....LOL!

Here are two of my pets :)

Now, a friend also reminded me last Thursday that it was National No Housework Day...so I hope you did not do any cleaning!  :)

I hope everyone had a great week...Mine was pretty good.  I wish the weather would decide what it wants to do because it is messing with my allergies and not any fun.

Jaime and I went for a nice motorcycle ride this past Saturday and I only took some pictures where the bat caves are.....I really should have taken more pictures:

We went to Luckenback and it was super nice....now, I did also get to stop in Comfort and a quick run into Tinsmith's Wife was necessary to get my friend some of the Wrapture for her to block items....I did manage to get a picture of that to send her....LOL!

As for stash enhancements for me.....I got some yarn that was another winning item from the Down Cellar Studios Podcast...it is a skein of yarn from Sunsoaked Yarns in the Arizona Cardinals colorway.  Jodi of Sunsoaked yarns even included some of the cutest straws with gold hearts on them.  Thank you Jodi!

I also ordered yarn......YIKES!  Paige came over and wanted to show me some pillows that her friend sewed for her.  There is a black one, tan one, and one with red and floral print.  They are very cute!

So, she has informed me that I need to make her a blanket to match.  She wants small stripes and something like a ribbing look.....so I ordered some Knit Picks Swish Worsted in these colors:

I will probably hold 4 together at once to make a super bulky weight on some size 35's.  I'll see how that looks.

That is it for any stash enhancements....so onto the knitting.

Well, remember I said that Paige came over....well, she tried on my Citadel....and while it is too big for her (I did make the XL size for me), she loves it and her smile was all it took for me to cave....so she took it home.

I picked a grey tonal as my yarn winnings so I can make myself a sweater.  I showed you guys 3 sweaters and I am going to go with Portage.  I think it will be gorgeous with the cables on the back.

I worked on my 3 Color Cashmere Shawl....I am to my last white section, then one black section and I will be done...Yeah!

I worked on my Hypercrazy, but I am not sure how often I am going to post pictures of this project.  I am only working on it for my hour at lunch breaks......so it will be slow going.  At some point, it will take one hour just for one row!

I worked on my April Socks

The last thing I worked on this week is a test knit for a friend.  Her pattern is already done and out...but sometimes she asks me to test knit the written portion since I prefer to read the written portion over the chart....so here it is:

That is all I have as far as knitting this week!  The only other thing I wanted to share with you is some new tea I tried....it is TAZO earl grey, but it has some lavender essence in it...it was yummy!

Here is a cute video of Antonio hitting some golf balls....look at that form...watch out Jordan Spieth!

I hope you all have a fantastic week!

Happy April!

April is here....can you believe it?  I have a couple of KAL's starting in April, so I will jump right into the knitting.......

Most of the week, I worked on this weekend is my CITADEL!  I FINISHED!  I know....I cannot believe it!

Here it is fresh off the needles:

Blocking (I had no clue how to block this really):

Finished with buttons....I tried to get a picture of this on me, but I was failing miserably....so this is all I could do.  It is super cold in my office this morning, so I am wearing it (who would of thought I could wear a 100% wool sweater in April in Texas)....It is super comfy (and warm)!

And, I won a sweater's quantity of yarn!  I was the first one finished and won....There were only about 6 people (myself included) plus the owner of the yarn store....so not a whole lot of people to beat...but it gave me motivation to keep knitting on this.

With my yarn winnings...I want to make one of these.....which one do you guys like best?

I also got yarn ready for some projects....

I told you about the Hypercrazy I am going to make again (Yes, we have established that I am crazy!)...I have more on this later...but here is my yarn and project bag all ready!

My April socks will be done in colorway Laduree Macaroons.

Then, the 2nd Qtr KAL for both the Bags By Awesomegrannie group and the San Antonio SNB group got started on April 1.  I am making Agleam with a skein of Yowza in Masquerade.

So, let me start with my Hypercrazy story....I got started...and got all the way through chart C....

But everyday that we would knit during lunch, I would comment how much I loved Darlene's Wolves Den Colorway I showed you last week:

and everyday, Darlene would offer to trade me.....well, one day she said "This is my final offer, I won't ask again!".....so I took her up on it..she took my Masquerade doe through chart C and I took her Wolves Den that she was done with chart B...there was a column missing, so I had to tink a little and re-do it, but it was not much...and then when I was knitting with it...I actually missed those gorgeous pops of green in the masquerade I was using....I tell ya, I guess I am never happy, I just want to knit ALL the yarn and ALL the things!  It does not really matter...Darlene and I share everything so whenever I want to wear the masquerade one, I know she will let me.

Now, since I am no longer knitting with the masquerade on the Hypercrazy, I decided to use my skein of Masquerade on my Agleam....and I am loving these colors!

And, I started my April Socks....the ACM's were on last night and I cast on right before they started and this is what I got done while they were on...I think I did pretty good!!!

Here is just a picture of them so you can see the wonderful spring colors!  I love these colors!!

Lastlyt, I won another set of Hiya Hiya needles with "Knitphomaniac" lasered on them.  Thank you so much to Qianer for your generosity!

Well, that is all I have....I leave you with some fun pictures that other people shared with me and I found worthy to reshare with you..and one picture of Antonio...he came over on Wednesday!
