Freezing March

Well, March welcomed some super cold weather.....I thought for sure we would not longer have any freezes because I was already seeing small buds on trees around the city....but we froze last night and I am freezing today!  However, this coming Saturday is supposed to be in the 80's...talk about being from low to high....That's Texas for ya!

I was sick most of the week last week....but I did do a little crocheting and knitting while I was not feeling like crap.......first, I have some stash enhancements....I saw some yarn on FB and I had to get it.....I got it from Slovakia...I have no clue what I am going to make with it...maybe some large granny squares......but I just thought it was beautiful!  I found out later that there is an etsy shop for this store.

I also ordered yarn for Paige....she watched the podcast that we did a little over a week ago and she fell in love with Peyton's Wallaby.....and she wants one in grey.  So I showed her two grey colors, smoke and charcoal:

Her answer?  Both......so looks like 2 wallaby's might be in my future....we will see....right now it is time to focus on Graces sweater.....I have less than 3 weeks to get this done and it is not very far.

This past week, all I worked on was a blanket and March's Hat

I ran out of yarn on the blanket....I need to go to Joann's and see if they have these colors.

Here is the start of the Hat....it is the 1898 hat.

That is really all I have....and the next few weeks might be boring as all I plan to work on is Grace's cardigan.....I will finish the March hat and blanket, but then it is cardigan, cardigan, cardigan, cardigan!

It was Jacob's 25th birthday this past Friday.....we had a great dinner at Jaime's mom's house.

Jacob with his gf, Angelica:

I also had the dogs this past Saturday:

and Antonio has been getting better at riding his bicycle!

and Lastly, I have some pictures of the new grandbaby, Liam....I think Cat and Celeste love their new brother!

Did you know that Larry Bird (famous basketball player in his day) knits?

Have a great week!

Happy Happy Happy Knitting!
