Losing a loved one :(

Hi everyone, I hope you are all doing well and warm now that we are officially in Spring.

If you have followed me for a while you know my mom has had a number of ailments and diseases for many years.  Well, she has declined rapidly over the past weekend and is now in the last stages of life.  I just pray she goes quickly and peacefully.  I have worked from my parent's home today and done everything we can do to keep her comfortable.  She will go to a skilled nursing facility tomorrow.  Please keep her in your prayers for me.

I did manage to make her two more pairs of socks.  I did not got a picture of these finished (just the one) but I did do two of them...these are just tubes with no heels.  They seem to fit her better.

Then I made these last night (they remind me of an easter egg)

I decided to stop the Tango Nuevo Shawl I was doing in the KAL for Larisa Beretovitsky  (just taking too much concentration from me that I do not have) and decided to start her Petal of Flowers Shawl instead with these colors.  Here is my start and the Tango Nuevo I have taken off the needles:

I finished this for Lupe's Great Nephew

I also worked on both my sweaters.  One knit and one crochet.  I am super close to dividing for sleeves on the crochet one which I have never done so I am a bit nervous.

I went to see Paige and family this past Friday and she made the best salmon bowl and I got to hang out with this cutie but Antonio was at a golf tournament.

I think I mentioned that last week Paige made Lupe some amazing brownies....well, I tried to make them but I think I have come to the realization that I need a new oven because I had to cook it twice as long as Paige said to and Lupe said it was still a bit gooey in the middle.....It will take practice but I hope to get this recipe down.

My dad got me and Lupe a T-bone steak and Lupe cooked it last night and it was perfect.

That is all I have this week......Have a great week!

There is so much dust, but it is getting better.  On October 1st, I went to a fitness event that one of the gyms I go to puts on at hemisfair park....it was lots of fun.....doing yoga is Paige, Me, Sam, Biz (with one of her dogs, Nova).......Paige and Bizz both won metals!

My sister and mother are in Germany and my sister has been sending lots of great pics!

Dust, Dust and more Dust

Well, it has been almost 3 weeks since my last post and my floors are still not done....but a big part is finding other things that need to be done.  They found 2 water leaks (thankfully not major damage) and some of my foundation needs to be resurfaced/leveled.

Look at this haze of dust in the house.....all of my furniture and stuff is covered, but the dust still gets on everything even with the covering on it.

I got some new yarn from Elizabeth.....unfortunately one of her knitting friends from Michigan passed away, so she is sharing some of the yarn she got from her.

Elizabeth also finished my cranked socks....I love them!  Thank you Elizabeth for the socks and yarn!

Antonio picked the wildcard yarn (the picture right before the socks) for a sockhead hat.....and I already started it.

Then I started a new hat with the worsted weight yarn

Plus I started the 3rd triangle on the monthly blanket

and lastly I am working on the test knit

Here are my progress pics on the floors

That is all I have.....Have a great week!
