My Mom is in Heaven now!

I am sad but also relieved to tell you that Heaven gained another angel last Friday.  My mother is no longer in pain and that is why I am relieved.  I know she is in a better place and it was so hard to see her in so much pain every day.

I am sorry I am 2 days late posting this blog post.  Monday was crazy busy going to funeral home then helping my dad clear out some of the kitchen and pantry.  Then Lupe (he took day off) and I delivered some stuff to his brother and some stuff to Paige.  By the time we got home, I was beat.  Then yesterday I had an all day meeting in the office.  I cannot remember the last time I had to go to the office. After the meeting, Lupe took me to Johnny Carino's and I had the Chicken Scaloppine that was delicious, but later I had a stomach ache and just went to bed super early.  So now it is Wednesday and I am finally getting to this post.

It is officially Spring!

Last Tuesday I got to go to Antonio's last golf tournament.  He has improved so much in this sport.  I am so proud of him.

I also made more brownies for Lupe.  My dad went and got him raw milk to try (he had never tried it).  He has to have milk with the brownies, but he mixes the raw milk with a 2%.

Darlene and I started a new shawl.   It is called Minetta and I am using this cotton.  The color way is Koi

I also finished my Knit Pullover in Lime.  Paige really likes it so I ordered more yarn to make another.

I also made progress on this Petal Of Flowers Shawl.  I think I am going to run out of my main color so I ordered some more.  I hope it ships fast!

I listened to a new to me author the other day.....Freida McFadden (I know, I know......I am behind the times and she has been popular forever, it just takes a lot for me to do 'new' things).  I loved this book!  Of course it helped that I love Julia Whelan and January Lavoy as narrators.

So Lupe took me to Barnes and Nobles to get an actual book to read.  The books are like $20 and I can get on amazon next day for $10.  I am scared places like Barnes and Nobles are going to close....so sad.  Anyway, I got this one...I am already on chapter 6 or something...it is different to 'read' a book and not listen, but I guess it is a good habit to read before bed instead of phone scrolling....LOL!

Here is my pain in the booty that has been messing with the fence and is in trouble with dad (she does not look worried, does she...LOL):

That is all I have this week....again, sorry I was late and I hope you have a fabulous week!

Read that last one again....it is worth it!

Almost May???

Hey everyone.....can you believe it is almost May??  Where has the time gone?  That means this cutie is going to be one in a little over a week!

I also heard that Mia is doing well, but still has some treatment ahead of her.  She wanted Coley to send me a picture to show me she is "fine" <3

Here is Amira at golf with her brother

Now knitting.....I got some new yarn by Bernat that I am making a little shirt for Amira.  I also got a couple extra colors to "maybe" make Lupe and I some sweat cloths for the gym.

Here is the start of the shirt

I also worked on my Hap aka baby blanket

Plus the crochet blanket for Star's son

And I finished the hat for Lupe's niece (that looks identical to the one I made for Lupe's Mother)

Lupe and I went to this new food place a couple of weeks ago called Senor Burro.  Well, they have an amazing salsa...I mean next level!!  So, we went back and I might have taken a small mason jar to take a lot of the salsa home with me......LOL!!

That is all I have guys.  Have a great week

So much going on!

Hey everyone!  How are you?  I have so much going on.....I do not even know where to start!

I guess I will start with my son is getting married.  Yup, to this amazing lady, Nicole.  She goes by Coley.  She has a beautiful goddaughter named Mia. Unfortunately, Mia is in the hospital right now, but I got this pic of the two of them.

Coley lives in Scotland and she is flying in this Friday, they will get married next Thursday, the 10th of April!

Antonio had another golf tournament this past Tuesday.  His school did not make it to the tournament on the 9th of April, but he had fun and played well.

We got Amira a miniature "yeti style" cup.....she love it....and is the cutest drinking out of it!

I was able to block Grace's sweater and get it in the mail to her

My sister washed a store bought sweater that shrank, so I re-blocked it by stretching it out for her......I DID NOT MAKE THIS SWEATER...just blocked it

I also made a hat for my fiber fairy recipient.....her birthday is in April and her favorite color is red.

Our washer broke, so we ordered a new set.  Lupe installed them.  If you know me, you know I am a pretty fierce independent woman and can do pretty much anything around my house (and have done plenty on my own), but it is really nice that Lupe does it all and that he wants to do it <3

Speaking of Lupe, here he is with our babies

We also went to a place called Rolando's Tacos....let me tell you, these tacos are HUGE (I brough 1/2 of mine home) and absolutely delicious!!!

Yesterday we went to a tropical express for a sour mangonada.....but also got nachos and frito pie...

my last bit of amazing news......Sean and Leilani are expecting!

I have already purchased yarn for neutral color (where I will join a KAL at the same time)

and some pink yarn

I already have a boy blanket in the works:

Lastly, I really thought I would be done with the shawl I am crocheting for Coley, but that is not the case.  I think last week I said I had less than 100 grams, but I was wrong.  I had 116 grams and I am now at 55 grams....so, 61 grams completed this past week and less than that to go!  I really want to finish this in March.....but it is the 31st and I am not sure how much I will get done tonight.  We will see.  I have finished 7 things in March, and this would make 8 (Unicorn Wrap, matching hat for Unicorn wrap, Playstation cover, Cold hearts Hat, girl shell stitch blanket, Grace's pullover, and the Crystal Lattice Beanie for my fiber fairy recipient) :)

Have a great week!
