Hello everyone. Happy Cinco de Mayo!
How have yall been? I have been up to no good (I should have a Marauder's Map...LOL)! Before I fill you in on my shenanigans, let me list what I finished in April.
1. The virus shawl for Coley
2. Lupe's mom Chemo Hat
3. Lupe's mom Jupiter Beanie
4. Good Vibes throw for baby Casey
5. Techno hat for Mia
6. Lupe's niece Chemo Hat (to match his mom's)
Not too shabby, but I will say that 4 of the 6 are new cast ons....LOL!
Well, I decided to join a new KAL. Yeah, Yeah, I know....I still need to finish the HAP KAL with Wooly Thistle....don't worry! Okay, maybe worry a lot! LOL! I have mentioned in the past that the Advent Stole I did lasst year was going to be Brigit's last one. So, I needed to find something else to knit for Darlene for Christmas. Well, the Never Enough Lace group was having a KAL with a beautiful shawl called Teemant by Tiziana Samurai...so I decided to join. What I did not know what that I would end up casting on 3 of these shawls because I could not figure out which yarn I liked the best.
Here is the winner:
However, I still want to make the speckly one (last pic before winner), but I feel like that was more "my colors" and since this is for Darlene, I wanted to pic something for her. This is a Wollmeise Lace Garn that has subtle tonals throughout. One lady on ravelry said it was Moody like dark clouds rolling over mountains and I was like....this is the one! This KAL goes to mid June or July but I really want to finish no later than early June...but we will see. As always, I have a lot going on.
Now, for the Wolly Thistly HAP KAL....I just have 2 sides of border to go!
It will be Amria's birthday this Thursday and Paige is having a party on Saturday.....so I frogged and re-started this basket.....I hope I get it done in time!
I also worked on Nia's Chevron Blanket.
I got an amazing box of chocolates from Scotland. I am embarassed to say that Lupe and I have eaten most of it and this was the only pic I got. There was so much more than just this! Chocolate from Scotland blows american chocolate out of the running!
Lupe got me some gorgeous daisies! I love them!
but I swear they have gotten bigger since he got them
We took our larger dogs for a walk last week and look and how pooped they were. Purl does not like walking....her legs are 1.5" high...LOL!
Well, that is all I have.....I hope you have a fabulous week!
Happy Happy Happy Knitting!
