Happy 4th of July

Hi everyone.....tomorrow is the 4th of July (Can you believe 1/2 the year is gone!)  Are you out of town with big celebratory plans?  At a Beach?  Having a BBQ?  Well, I hope you have a fabulous 4th of July!

I finally finished my Joji Mystery Wrap....this sucker is HUGE!

Darlene took it over the weekend to block for me.  She said if we put hers and mine together (hers is gorgeous!), we will have a nice blanket....oh, and her dog, Susie, had to check it out too!

The LSSK gals are doing Dish Rag tag again this year.....I made a dishcloth for a recipient.....and she got it already....yeah!  I hope she liked it!

 

 

Then, I finished my 2nd BIG 4 Retreat item.  I was a day late.  My goal is to finish one item per month, so I should have finished by Friday the 30th, but I finished on Saturday the 1st of July.  I blocked it yesterday.  My friend, Ruby, gave me this yarn and recommended making Convergent with it, but when this Snowmelt Mystery KAL came out....I think the yarn was meant to be this gorgeous shawl.  Thank You Ruby....from the bottom of my heart...this yarn said Carrie all the way!

 

 

 

 

 

I also worked on my Miss Babs 2nd Destination tour package...this is Llama Drama and the destination is Peru.

 

 

 

 

Then,  I got my July socks started.

 

 

I think all in all, it was a fairly productive week.

 

I did have a stash enhancement of some Must Stash yarn.....it is for Sock School 2017.  Stacie dyes this yarn here in SA, TX....but my package took a scenic tour through Virginia and finally made it to me...it was worth the wait!

 

 

Well, that is really all I have....one of my friends from LSSK got a Dr. Pepper soda with the most amazing wrapping/packaging.....Isn't it cute!  Pet paws and Yarn!

Memorial Day Rememberance

Hi everyone.....today is Memorial Day and a Holiday for me (an many Americans).  It is a day to remember those that served and lost their lives.  So I try to take a moment to remember that freedom is not free and there are too many that have paid the ultimate price.

Now I will get to the knitting.....I worked on my Joji Mystery Wrap...this is clue 2 done.  I have done only about 4 rows into clue 3, so I really need to catch up!

I worked on my monthly socks

And I have my yarn ready for next month, but was not sure what bag to use...

Darlene got me the cutest digital scale....it goes to 2 decimal places :)

 Other than the wrap and socks.....I did not do any more knitting...but I did do some crocheting.  I worked on my Birthday Blanket:

And on Paige's blanket....I only have about 3 more stripes on hers:

That is all the knitting/crocheting I did...but I do have one stash enhancement.....a skein of lolo did it's favorite base in the Harley colorway :)

That is all I have....yup, kinda a short blog.....Antonio had a field trip to Morgan's Wonderland and had a fabulous time....and Cataleya had her birthday party at Peter Piper Pizza.....here are some pics....Have a great week!

Week of the Mystery Wrap

Hey Everyone.....How was your week?  My week was great.

It was mostly the Week of the Mystery Wrap for me...

I finished clue 1 .....

Clue 2 came out....so I started clue 2....clue 1 is the top piece and clue 2 is the bottom piece (but I am not done with clue 2).

I also worked on my socks....got two fish lips kiss heels done :)

That is all I knitted on.....but in other news and some random posts:


Jaime's dog, Brandy, got sick.  She had an inflamed pancreas and it was affecting her liver.  She stayed 2 days in the veterinary hospital....when she came home, she still was not feeling well, so we just sat and relaxed.  When she was given her medicine in peanut butter, she just kind of sat there and did not want to swallow or anything....poor baby...Jaime had to give her a dropper full of water to get her to swallow the peanut butter with the medicine....but she is doing better.

I had dinner at my mom's house last night with my whole family to celebrate a late Mother's Day and an early birthday for her (her birthday is Tomorrow)......my sister brought her new dog, Sasha...she is a cutie pie

I took Antonio, Celeste and Cataleya.....they had a great time with whipped cream mustache's

I tried to get them to sit still for a picture together...but Antonio with his 'larger than life' personality....I could not get him to sit still....LOL!

Paige bought me some of my favorite popsicles....she loves me!

And Antonio and Paige were messing with my the camera at bath time......
