Hi everyone....how's your weather? It is WET here! and I am tired of it! My back yarn is flooding and I don't like it (plus it will make for too many mosquitos and I will have to mow my yard a billion times)!
What have you been up to? Me, nothing much.......I came to work today and my rose from my mammogram is still beautiful!
Jaime and I are planning on going to the lakehouse this weekend with Nick and Star and I am super excited. Star wants to learn how to knit so I got some yarn ready for her, and started a scarf in garter. I also put her stuff in a silver shed bag I never use since I only use Bags by Awesomegrannie bags!
I worked about a weeks worth on my temperature blanket and it is just no fun....so I stopped at July 17th and gave it to Antonio....He loves it!
Max enjoyed me working on it....he is such a cuddle bug!
Precious had a trip to the groomer.....she could have waited a little while, but I have plans for the next 5 or 6 weekends, so I figured I better get her trimmed up.
I went to my mom and dad's last Friday to see my Aunt Patti and my mom got me the cutest towel from Fredericksburg......
They also said they ate at a great new German Bakery there....so I took a picture of the card:
I finally got the buttons on my Boxy Cape...and I LOVE IT!
Then I worked on my lounging sweater....I found a mistake a few rows down I had to fix and I also started a 2nd skein and am alternating for the transition.
A friend of mine told me about a new CAL coming soon....and the blanket is beautiful....but I just can't afford a $200 yarn kit right now....but, I have all that acrylic yarn left over from the temperature blanket, so I might see if I can somehow do the colors with that yarn.
Well, that is all I have .......Have a great week everyone!
Happy Happy Happy Knitting!
This blog is about my life....and I am completely addicted to knitting, so it is the Life of a Knitphomaniac! You will hear about my knitting, kids, grandkids, and just things going on. I hope you enjoy!

Happy Fiesta!
Hello Everyone! How was your week? Mine was great! Here in San Antonio, TX we are in the middle of Fiesta.....it is a festive time with lots of parades and celebrations all around. You can read about it here. It is rare that I ever go to a fiesta event....but it is fun to see and hear about all the events on the news here.
So, on to the knitting.....I have a few stash enhancements......Jennifer from BugBear Woolens offered out a discount code to the HiyaHiya ravelry group (here)....so I had to snag this gorgeous orange!
Then, there is a new lady in my knitting group at work....she has really taken off in knitting, buying many supplies and stash.....and she wanted to Thank me and Darlene for all the help we have given her with her knitting.....she got me this Fiber Nymph Yarn and I am completely in LOVE with this color....this has to be one of the most perfect Burnt Orange Colors ever! Thank you so much Marla!!!!
I also ordered some sock needle holders. They are usually called DPN holders, but I use them for magic loop.....
That is it for Stash Enhancements.....but I think I got lots of knitting done this past week. I have kept up with my Miss Babs Destination one to Sri Lanka, the pattern is called Ves.....
My friend got the scarf for her son....and he LOVED it....she posted that he was sleeping in it that night.........that just makes my heart soar! Here he is:
I also worked on my secret project....I think as long as I do not tell you what it is (yet), I can show you....my gradient yarn started to change colors....so exciting!
I also started and finished a dishcloth.....this is for my Lonestar State Knitters Group....we are doing what it called Texas Highway Dishrag Tag! So, someone (or more than one) starts a box...in the box is a hand knitted dishrag and 2 skeins of kitchen cotton yarn, along with some trinkets (tea, chocolate, knitting notions, etc)....they send it to person number 2.....person number 2 takes out all the contents. They pick one skein of the kitchen cotton to knit a dishrag with, and one skein to keep for themselves.....then they put in the box the hand knitted dishrag (knitted out of one of the skeins that was sent to them in their box) and two new skeins of kitchen cotton and some trinkets to the next person....and so on and so on...and then the last person sends a box to the first person......I think this will be super fun. I knitted my dishcloth and sent my box to the next recipient.....so I will be able to post pics next week of what I sent her!
Lastly, I finished one (just one) of my rainbow socks.....so I have a HO!
That is all I have for this week......I am going out of town next weekend so I am not sure how much knitting I will get done.....but I hope it is a lot!
I leave you with:

It's almost April?
Can you believe that in 2 days it will already be April? WOW!
I am gonna just jump right into the knitting!
I think I should kinda call last week Sock Week....I worked on socks!
I finished one of my HiyaHiya KAL socks
I worked on my Loopy Academy Socks
And, when Jaime and I went to Hot Rod Night on Saturday....I took my rainbow socks to knit on....these socks have both heels in already (yippee)!
I am really loving my Dyakcraft Heavy Metal needles....so much so that I ordered a second set....they do not put holes in my fingers (that is always a plus)!
I have been cruising the Miss Babs forum on Ravelry and have seen so many awesome pictures of our Destination One shawl (called Ves)...our destination is Sri Lanka! So.....I had to jump in and get started (you all know I have startitis!).
I also worked a little on my secret project (pretty soon I will not be able to show picture of this one).
I guess from many of the above pictures, you can see I spent a big chunk of the weekend in my Pajamas.....I was tagged on Instagram for #widn (What I'm Doing Now) and that is how the above picture was taken.....I also posted the picture of the rainbow sock being knit at Hot Rod Night on Instagram and Facebook......then I got a message from my friend that I am making the Dr Who Scarf for....I do not blame her for asking about the scarf....and I was embarassed to tell her it was barely 1/2 way done.....see, this is why I should just tell people, "No, I will not knit for you." But I did not say that (almost a year ago)......and her son's bday is coming up April 18th.....So, I pulled it out of hibernation....and it was only 37.95% done (Yikes). So I knitted and knitted and knitted on it and I got it to 43.12%......so I did like 5% (and it felt like so much more).
Now I need to update the spreadsheet to see if I can finish it in like 16 -17 days.....wish me luck!
Let me jump into some stash enhancements....Darlene went to the DC/VA area last week for a conference. She went by Fiber Space in Alexandria and got me some yarn from Neighborhood Fiber Company in the Del Ray color! I LOVE IT!
I placed an order with Eat, Sleep, Knit for some Cascade....I want to make a sweater for Antonio, and a couple of felted things for the kitchen (in my far future) and then wanted to get some chunky madeline tosh for a Gaptastic Cowl....it will probably be years before I start these....
One of the ladies that just joined our knitting group at work used to sell scentsy...and she had these cute little scentsy packs in her project bags.....so I had to get some. I love the way they smell....so fresh!
Well, I think that is all I have for the week.....so I will leave you with some Aunty Acid....and related pictures.
Thankfully I was not on that last list! LOL! Happy Happy Happy Knitting!

I also got some extra stops for them
