Covid, Appendicitis and Double Trouble!

Hey everyone.....I hope you have had a great Year year so far.  My new year has been crazy.

Paige got Covid on the first, she quarrantined for 7 days...then Antonio was vomitting and got sick.  She took him to ER and they rushed him by ambulance from one hospital to another.  He had appendicitis and his appendix had ruptured.  He had surgery on the 9th and got to come home on the 12th.  He came to my house for me to baby him while Paige got to finally go back to work.

We had a really windy day and my basketball hoop fell on my car and busted my windshield and scratched the side of my car!

Darlene had a Birthday and I delivered her present....I made two of these blankets....one for me and one for her...this was double trouble for me as each blanket was 120,000 stitches....so this is 240,000 stitches of double trouble!

Darlene also sent me a picture over the holdidays and she was wearing a ......gasp.....store bought hat....so I had to knit her one (this is the twistmas pattern)!

Here are her pictures of her presents.

I loved this hat so much, I made one for me....it will have the red pom pom

Lastly, I got my first skein for the 2022 blanket.....Urth Monokrom....

Here is the finished month one of the 2022 blanket with my 2021 blanket keeping me warm...the pattern is called Urth Strata

That is all I have so far....I hope yall have a great week (this picture is from my friend Paula...thank you for sharing this Paula!)!!

Happy December and first day to open those Adent Calendars!

Hey everyone....I know, I know...I need to get better about posting here.  I am sorry!  It is already December and I have a TON of pics to share with you.

It is time to open those adent calendars!  I got the David's Tea calendar from Darlene (she gets it for me every year because she is amazing)!

Celeste turned 13 (can you believe I am the grandmother of a teenager?) and we went to an Escape room and then Dave and Busters...she went to Colorado with her family, and Yvette (her mother) is expecting again.....my amazing family is growing!

As for knitting, I recently started a Mae sweater for Shyla

I started a musselburgh for Trenton

I started dishcloths for Darlene (she liked the ones from Friendsgiving so much)!

I started a hat just because I loved the pattern (and had just purchsed the yarn).

I have been plugging away at the stained glass blanket (and got my nails done)

I got the last color for the blanket recently (I still need the last ivory color).

I also ordered next year's Monthly Blanket kit!

I bought some yarn for socks......this was all Elizabeth's fault!

I got some yarn from Eat Sleep Knit's Black Friday sale...this is Malabrigo Rios in the Medusa Colorway

I finished one of the hats and the dishcloths

I was not feeling well for Thanksgiving and there were some newborns at Thanksgiving so I stayed home (and sent my parents with the mashed potatoes):

Paige surprised Bizzle with a trip to see the Dallas Cowboys (Bizz's favorite team):

and Paige got me this great wall hanging for my bedroom....I love it!

That is all I have.....have a great week!

Still Dusty with a Side of Paint!

So, I have had lots of dust (that I am still cleaning) but the floors are done....now on to painting.  Paige is doing most of the painting but Antonio helps and I did a little too.

There is so much dust, but it is getting better.  On October 1st, I went to a fitness event that one of the gyms I go to puts on at hemisfair park....it was lots of fun.....doing yoga is Paige, Me, Sam, Biz (with one of her dogs, Nova).......Paige and Bizz both won metals!

My sister and mother are in Germany and my sister has been sending lots of great pics!
