Sourdough, Cookies, Knit, Crochet and the 49ers!

Hey everyone....how was your week?  Mine was great....I know I am a day late again, but yesterday I had the worst headache ever.  Lets jump into it......

I made some sourdough tortillas.  They were not the greatest, but they did not suck....I need practice.

One of Lupe's coworker's sisters was opening a new business making cookies so we supported them and ordered some.  The business is Baked by Adrianna and they were SOOOOOOO delicious.  We ate a dozen over the 2 day weekend.

I knit on my Morning rain....I know it does not look like much but the rows are pretty long now so just 2 or 3 rows takes me forever, plus there are beads.

I also divided my sleeves on my top down sweater

Darlene came over to bring Lupe the most amazing quilt ever (more on that later) and we crocheted together....she brought her virus shawl and I pulled out mine.  I go almost 2 repeats done.

I want to start another already (so when I finish this one, I have another to go to)....I looked through my stash and this is the winner.

Also, in 2021 I made Darlene some dishcloths....she needs more so I started these.

Now back to that amazing quilt....it is SF 49ers (Lupe's favorite team ever).  He loves it!  Thank you Darlene!

It has a minky backing

and it matches Darlene's Cat.....Charlie!

My dad was sent a picture of him at his aunt's wedding (in the 1940's)....Look how little my almost 90 year old dad was!

Lupe took me out to a new place called the Shack....it was delicious!

Look how handsome my fiance is!

Well, that is all I have.  Have a great week!

It's 2023!

Hello everyone!  It is 2023 and I hope you had fabulous holidays and a wonderful new year!

I know I have said this a lot lately, but my hope is to blog more...I know I have gotten pretty slack since 2020...here's to hoping I can do better!

I finished Darlene's last Christmas Present....a Boxy Cape

I also can finally show the Advent Stole I test knit that was for Darlene

I also got her a new set of the large Chiaogoo needles in shorties.

She made me a gorgeous quilt and I love it so much....and one cant forget her always spoiling me with the advent tea calendar and mug!  She is the greatest best friend a girl can have!

Paige and Erich got me goodies from Birdie Parker...I have always wanted some of her earrings and now I have earrings, yarn, stitch markers and a matching trinket dish!

Me wearing my earrings :)

I got both her and myself a journal.....I want to try to journal and see if I can justs be better this coming year.  I feel like my life and my mindfullness has been lacking so I want to see if this will help (the pen is from my great friend Jennifer a few years ago).

I finished the Monthly blanket on December 31st, so I met my goal of knitting the skein in the month I got it...but I still need to seam the whole thing...I will get there

In addition to the blanket club for 2023, I also ordered the shawl club....I am looking forward to it.

I made some socks for Erich's friend, Devinne....

And she made me a gorgeous macrame hanging on the mantel (to the right).

Antonio and I spent some time together during his break...one night we made a fire because the furnace broke!

I made more baubles for the neighbors and a hat for my BIL

I got my nails and toes done...something I have not done in a long time (I am also wearing new pjs from my parents...they gave me two sets!).

Lastly...some pics of my family (one is a throw back of Erich, Paige and Grace...must have been 2000)

That is all for now.

Happy Happy Happy Kntting!

Christmas Done.....Here comes 2021

Hey everyone.....I am sure I am not the only one that is ready to say goodbye to 2020......Christmas is done and it was very good to me.  I finished Darlene's wrap, and I also gifted her the test knit I do every year for my friend, Brigit, in The Netherlands.....her Advent Stole is a dream to test knit every year!

I even squeezed out a hat for Bizz and an ornament for Ped.

Now, the ornament above took me 5 hours......like for real maybe even a little more than 5 hours....but this much simpler pattern takes a lot less time (but I did not try this one till after Christmas)......so this is what my future ornament knitting will be:

Darlene got me my annual tea calendar and mug that I absolutely love, but she also made me the most gorgeous quilt that is as soft as butter!  Thank you Darlene!

I also finished that hat I was working on for a friend's father, and the Christmas tree I was crocheting....Paige stole the Christmas tree, put it in her house with lights in it.....

I also finished my Hedgehog Fibers blanket....and signed up for next years blanket with Jimmy Beans Wool....Next year is Malabrigo Rios Yarn.

Darlene's grandson wants a Rasta hat.....so I found this yarn in stash:

Antonio got a Y Flicker scooter and learned to shoot a BB gun......

A special someone got me some beautiful Daisies.....they make me smile everyday!

Lastly, my kids got me a Food Saver (Yeah!!!) and some amazingly soft pants (not pictured because they are on my body) and my parents got me a Lululamon oversized 1/2 sweat shirt....I love it all!  I was definitely spoiled this year!

Well, I think that is all I have.......good bye 2020.....Hello 2021, and please be better to us.....I hope to be more consistent with my blog next year.....thanks for following me!

Happy Happy Happy Knitting!
